Wow. I went to this place because Gemini said it was one of the best burritos downtown. Well, the burrito was ok, but the price was outrageous! $18.75 for a carne asada burrito, with no rice. Then they charged $1.75 to add cheese. That is $20.50 for an average burrito before tax. Highway robbery. I thought at least for that amount of money the burrito would be humongous, but no it was average size. There are plenty of better burritos places in Sac that frankly have better food and a much cheaper price.

When in need of a quick bite, this is my go to! Easy to get to on 16th and I always find parking. On my most recent visit, I had chicken soft tacos. So yummy and I poured on top the owners most recent creation-a salsa that added a bit of a punch. So delicious. Of course, I’ll be back.

As others have said I have been driving past this place for a long time. I was getting service done at Midas and asked the service writer about Jalisco.. he said they have the BEST burgers he has ever had. The young lady at the counter was great and I asked here “If you were to be famous for a dish what would it be?” She answered the street tacos so I ordered 4 along with a drink and some chips with guac. It was a lot of food but oh my I dusted it ALL. I cannot imagine how good the burger is – so I’ll be back to try one for sure!!

Came back and it’s now $19 for 3 tacos with a small side of chips. Want to support the small businesses but they are pricing themselves out of an option.

This place is special. Burritos and burgers make this more than just a taco place, but both menu items could be headliners here. The scenery and location might not be ideal, but the quality of the food has been making folks stop here since 1974. This is a major win scenario for foodies that like authenticity. They have a full bar and a friendly staff in a neighborhood that is on the rise. They even take requests and create new menu items on the spot!

My 3 taco order came up to be about $15.
These were the smallest tacos I’ve ever eaten. It looks like they use Pringles chips size tortilla to make them. In addition, they use these smaller boxes to make the to-go box look full. I had received 7 chips in total! These people are trying to save money on chips y’all!
The food wasn’t that impressive either. Tasteless but spicy!

After checking in to my hotel I decided to look for somewhere to eat and this place caught my eye because of the sign that says “worlds greatest michelada”. Let’s just say I’ve had better at non latino restaurants.
I ordered tacos and non of the salsas were spicy. Which is a huge disappointment for a taqueria.
