Delicious and huge portions! I got the combo plate and my husband enjoyed the combo burrito, which both had chicken and tri-tip with rice and beans. The guacamole was very good as well.

We were in this area for quick stay since my car had to be repaired. We decided to have lunch here. I like the area. I like the atmosphere, nice people.I had the tri-tip chicken combo. I split it with my fiancé. Tri-tip was good tasting and the chicken was nice and juicy. You do get small sides, and I would have liked more tortillas, but otherwise a great day for meat and chicken. The price is about $18.00 dollars or so for the combo.
The photo i’m sharing, doesn’t do it justice. I took the photo after we were having our food.

Awesome easy lunch spot with great chicken and tri tip. Simple options but get tons of food and it’s really tasty the way they grill it. Will be coming back in the future! The tortillas were great too.

Well after seeing all the commercials, hearing the jingles and watching them on TV I finally decided to dip into the wallet and give these guys a chance. I’ve been In the hospital 1.5 wks now. and it is right around the corner. From Cottage Hospital not that the food here is bad because it actually is quite good.
Now back to SBCR , the tri-tip is well overdone. Not a spot of pink on any one piece of meat at all. On top of that it was extremely dry. The chicken on the other hand was a different story. It was cooked to perfection and juicy The side accompaniments were in a class all of their own. The Uncle Ben’s Rice with a teaspoon of tomato sauce and a diced jalapeño for flavor has met his match and needs to be either revised or literally canned. TRASH CANNED ‼️. I hope that they really, actually read these and take them to heart. Otherwise this is just a waste of time and honest feedback coming truthfully from both sides.

Santa Barbara Chicken Ranch is a great place to grab some delicious food! The chicken is always flavorful and cooked just right. The service is quick, so you won’t be waiting long. There’s plenty of parking, which is a big plus. Plus, they offer a great selection of sauces to go with your meal. I’ll definitely be adding this spot to my favorite places in Santa Barbara on the map.

If I were gay and I had a lover, and I could never forget her, this would be that girl. I eat here about twice a week & it has been my favorite, can’t tell you how long but, forever. The trip tip and chicken is always consistent. I love to get the burrito because you get the best of every thing.
I moved away and gosh thought about her like crazy.

I love Chicken Ranch! About every other week, I order a Triple container full of Shredded Chicken, a triple full of Spanish Rice, and a medium full of Pinto Beans. Then I fill a bunch of little containers full of pico de gallo, and I eat lunches for a week! $27 for a week of lunches! Awesome!! Of course, their tri-tip is excellent too. You can run in pretty quickly, and load up on GOOD food, at excellent prices and you’re golden.
Chicken Ranch is great for church potlucks, for picnics at the beach, or whatever strikes your fancy. Free parking. Two locations to serve you, one in Santa Barbara on De La Vina, and one in Goleta in near Ace (used to be Osh), in the Fairview Shopping Mall. Try it if you haven’t been there, they’re really good.

I love Tri-tip, but here the chicken is so good that it is a cointoss on which I would choose! Which is why I usually get the combo option.
We recently discovered the burrito bowl! We go to the salsa bar and get Pico de Gallo, Original Salsa, Marinated Onions, and Limes…and add it all to the bowl.
It is a very large meal for 1 person, but we are both full if we share it! Our friend ate the whole thing by himself and was full 4 hours later!
Images below is what it looked like when we split it onto 2 plates. We also had Guacamole and added it to the plates.
I definitely recommend their Guacamole!
Also the burrito bowl comes with homemade tortilla chips! So good! Don’t forget the salsa/ guacamole to dip in!

The Chicken Ranch: A Santa Barbara Staple with Unrivaled Flavor

For as long as I can remember, The Chicken Ranch has been serving up some of the most flavorful, mouthwatering chicken I’ve ever had. I still remember my godmother taking me here as a kid, and even back then, I was blown away by the bold, orange-colored chicken that packed a flavor punch like no other. To this day, it remains one of my all-time favorites, and yes I’ll admit I’m biased but only because it’s just that good.

A Chicken Lover’s Paradise

While the menu has plenty of great options, the chicken is the undeniable star. It’s tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to juicy, smoky perfection. Pair it with their full salsa bar and a solid selection of cervezas, and you’ve got a meal that hits all the right notes.

Speaking of salsas, I like to mix things up literally. I take their rice and beans, add some roasted salsa and fresh pico de gallo, and create my own little masterpiece: Pico De Arroz. It’s a simple mix, but it adds another layer of flavor that makes every bite even better.

Rustic, Cozy & Unapologetically Chicken-Themed

Walking into The Chicken Ranch, you immediately get barnyard cantina vibes. The rustic wood, the cozy, laid-back feel, and the adorable chicken tchotchkes scattered throughout the restaurant make it feel warm, welcoming, and just a little bit quirky in the best way possible.

A Must-Stop Every Time I’m in Santa Barbara

No trip to Santa Barbara is complete without stopping in for a plate of that legendary chicken. It’s one of those places that sticks with you through childhood memories and into adulthood because the food is just that good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Five stars for nostalgia, flavor, and the best chicken around.
