Delicious poutine. Canadian dish with American portions. I weigh 230 lbs and barely put a scratch in this behemoth. Well done! Very kind waitresses too

Classic atmosphere, good service, great food! I don’t understand the complaints unless they’re fake or rude people who like giving bad reviews. I’ll be going back especially for the coffee

I love this place. Very Twin Peaks vibes. Always delicious food, my favorite is their eggs benedict! Wish I could poach eggs like that. Also their Bloody Mary is AMAZING. Best I have ever had. I think they make their own mix. My kids and husband love their sweet breakfasts like the stuffed French toast! Classic cafe but food and drinks are so much better than expected.

We’ve been twice in the last month.

Our server was fantastic and made me feel like I was at home. I got the Chilaquiles Skillet special, and it was SO GOOD. We even took home dinner before we left.

Small town charm, BIG on flavor and family. 10/10. It’s one of our favorite brunch diners in the state. The Pine Cone is a must try!

Been customer for nearly 60 yrs.
Has new owners which has made a huge impact

The food was great

The waitress who served me my order was greatand friendly and interested in seeing me have a great experience.

The waitress who took my order did just that and presented me with bill.

The other waitress whose name escapes me. I think it’s Rodda or Rudda Lee didn’t speak at all.

The waitress who served my my meal and wasn’t my waitress gave me a refill on coffee 2x.

The bill was 22$ which will buy breakfast most anywhere in Tacoma.

The waitress who served me did all the work and really earned the tip. I could give it to her without starting a major confrontation with the waitress that took the order and disappeared until it was time for the bill.

Listening to the gossip among the staff it was clear that getting the big table with the big tip was the only thing that seemed to matter to 2 of server. Many unkind things were said about customers including the other man the counter as well myself.

This maybe the norm but saying it about customers that can hear it and some of the comments are about them and the staff doesn’t seem to care.

I have eaten here less and less since the pandemic. This kind of behavior is largely why.
The new owner have greatly improved the food and cleanliness of this place maybe they need to clean house regarding some of the staff.

I thought our server was amazing she was always asking if we needed anything. The decor itself needs some updating for sure. The food was good not perfect but good. They need to update there coffee for sure and have flavored creamer.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. The portions were huge. My husband said the corn beef hash here was one of the best he had. We also loved the poutine. Staff and owners were super friendly. We will definitely visit again soon.

We came by on a Sunday around 11 for lunch, and the diner was already pretty busy. It took about 5 minutes to get our table which was quick, but the seats were all wet with drops (not damp from a cleaning cloth, this was more of a spill) and there were crumbs all over, so I needed to clean before sitting down. The hostess told us they were out of menus for our whole table except for 1 person, and she would be back with some. She never came back so we let our waitress know. She also never returned with any, and then acted annoyed that we weren’t ready to order when 4 of us were trying to read off of 1 menu. FYI, there’s no kids menu either. We also only received two sets of silverware so we had to ask for more. The food took nearly 40 minutes to come out. Overall it wasn’t worth the price. Everything tasted ok, nothing special. $7.99 for yogurt and granola is pretty high, among the other high priced breakfast foods. Honestly the staff seemed very unprepared for the morning/lunch rush.

A++ delicious food, great, friendly service. Wonderful classic diner vibes. I am so stuffed I’m on the verge of an impromptu nap and I have NO REGRETS.

Wife is celiac, and we found plenty of options for her on the menu. Plenty for picky ol’ me, too. 🙂

The fried cheese curds were bloody amazing, literally the best I ever had.

Super cute restaurant. I sat, ordered, and received my food within about 15 minutes. Wonderful service. Very friendly staff. Large portions and the food was amazing! This seems to be a regular spot for locals, and I can see why.
