I was recently in charge of organizing my 55 year High School class reunion. My classmates chose Prairie Tavern for our gathering, and it was an excellent choice. They provided the space, pizzas, salad and fruits for an estimated 70-75 people, at a reasonable charge. The service was great, and the food delicious. Shawna was easy to work with from the beginning, and always had everything under control. The reunion was a success, and so is Prairie Tavern. Thank you!

Stop by after a good friend of mine gave me a recommendation. So happy that I did. Our server Rachel greeted us with a big smile and made sure we have a comfortable table. Our lunches were delicious with generous portions. There’s a good size banquet area which would accommodate medium to large groups. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained, lunch for two with a couple of adult beverages@ 68.00 would definitely recommend!

Amazing restaurant ! I went in to use restroom , decided to get a pizza for my son , gluten free option for his allergy!!! I was not planing on buying any food but I did because they had an option for him .
I got it to go and the very nice employee brought it out to me in my car as I was sitting waiting for the order , waited under 15 min for a hot pizza ! I am so impressed !!! I will be returning as not many places offer gluten free options . Thank you !! ☺️ I’m very pleased .

Been coming here once or twice a year for about 6 years waiting for it to get better since the new owners took over and it hasn’t. Service is consistently bad, the food is literally ball park food and the drinks are unreasonablely expensive. Im surprised people come here. My guess is the atmosphere is decent.

Came to Prairie Tavern for a homeschool co-op meet up. This is the second time we have reserved the event space for it. The servers are always so nice, and there is plenty of space for the kids to do their lesson and activities. Some of the stuff our group ordered were French dip, wedge salad, kids burgers and tots, pizza, and loaded fries. All very delicious. We’ll definitely stop back in another time if we are in the area for lunch.

Lots of parking, clean in the restrooms and in the restaurant, and family-friendly! Lots of options for food even a kid’s menu. The beef stroganoff is very tasty especially the garlic bread. The blueberry muffin sour different, but delicious!
They even have a big free room for events, but if you order food a 20% gratuity is included on any food or drink ordered! The owner is great at communication as well. Highly recommend this place to so many.

It’s been a bit since I’ve been to prairie. Menu and interior have been updated. The tables and chairs have replaced the peeling laminate and vinyl. Slick menus and interior. They’ve kept the friendly staff and the food is still good.

Another local favorite I want to share. Stopped by PT with the family to celebrate my grandmother’s 87th birthday. Fun fact: she told us she used to play in pool tournaments here back in the early 80s!
Besides having a familial vibe and it being a local staple to the area, the service, drinks and food were amazing. Still even has a few pool tables in great shape. It’s spacious and inviting. The selection of local, specialty beers is also something to boast. Nice big open space suitable for large groups, family dining or just hangout at the bar with a few buddies while chatting up the amazing staff. Can’t say enough good things about the place.
Our family had a variety of items on the menu. Unfortunately, there weren’t any specific gluten-free (GF) alternatives. Mrs GF Paisano had to settle for the chicken Caesar salad. Something for the establishment to consider if they wanted.
This place is a must to experience. My pizza was fresh and filling, Cajun tots were on point (devoured before I can take a photo), and was all washed down with a delicious Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout. What are you waiting for?!

Went to Prairie Tavern last night for dinner. We were going for what my husband said were the best wings.
When we got there we were greated by the bartender pretty quickly after walking in letting us know we could choose any seat.
Once we sat we waited for about 10 minutes for menus. I was just about to go get our own when the server finally started walking our way with some and had to make a circle giving some to other customers who had been there even longer than us.
She took our drink orders fairly quick. Unfortunately it took more than 15 minutes for those to be delivered. Then she took our food order. That actually came fairly quickly. And the food did not disappoint. The wings were all that I could have hoped for! The burger was great and the tots were perfect!
Sadly that was the last time we saw our server for the next half hour. I had to finally go get my own extra napkin from the shelf infront of the kitchen. When she finally came back asked if we would like our drinks refilled…another 10 minutes later I finally went up to the bar and asked if we could finally have our refills.
Both the server and bar tender were rude and argumentative when we were upset about the quality of our service. This was a slow Tuesday night. There were 6 tables with 2 people at each and 2 people at the bar. There was zero excuse for this kind of service.
