Had a nice dinner here during my trip at the end of 2025, the atmosphere inside was great. The service was good and the meal was worth the price. The soup, food and dessert were delicious. I will definitely back to try more dishes in my future trips while passing by Zwolle

Came here a while back and our experience was plainly put: “Bad”.
Firstly: the menu on their own website has different pricing than their actual physical menu in their restaurant. Essentially a good way to mislead customers into your restaurant.
Secondly: when we ordered our meals we had two different steaks (both medium cooked), 3 sides and a mushroom sauce. As for drinks we ordered a glass of the Malbec and a glass of the Merlot.
After we made our order it took 15 to 20 minutes for just our wines to be served and we waited 45/50min for our food to be served. Yet, the food that got served, wasn’t even ours.
When the waitresses came to our table I poined out that this wasn’t what we ordered and we have been waiting insanely long for out food to come out. They apologised and said they had a new girl waiting tables, poor excuse if you ask me.
When we told them what we ordered, we only got one of our steaks, without any sides (again). (After mentioning that again, I finally received my steak). One of the steaks was cooked medium and the other well done. At this point I had absolutely had it with this restaurant. I pointed out we still hadn’t received any sides, after having sat there for an hour. They served us ONE side dish and again, forgot the others. Besides messing up the order, we also had to ask several times to receive the sauce we ordered with our steaks.
In the end we just gave up. We ate our steaks and wanted to get out of there a.s.a.p.
Apart from the restaurant having messed up several table orders, having poor service and poor quality food:
Their knives are as sharp as a butter knife having to cut through a steak. How can you call yourself a “proper” steak restaurant when your knives cannot even cut through the meats?
This restaurant, that calls itself: “hoogwaardige smaakmaker” and serves with: “kwaliteit”, must have been in a different time, because it is the absolute opposite.
I do not recommend this restaurant. If you fancy a proper steak, with proper sides and at least decent service, you would have to look elsewhere. We are never coming here again.

Definitely a 10/10. Nice location, very nice and educated staff and the food was the best I had in a while.
The staff was helpfull in selecting all dishes, even advising us not to take too much for our starter as the main course would be well portioned, and it was.
They knew their wine as well. We got a nice one to match with our charcoal grilled steak.
Prices were very good as well. I would definitely go back.

The staffs are really nice, and for the reservation, they have prepared a black board with the handwriting name on it (Welkom Dhr/Mevr …) super nice

During the dinner I had the opportunity to observe the work in the kitchen. It was not the Devil’s Kitchen, but a group of chefs who knew exactly what to do and when to do it. Watching you guys was pure pleasure. But the result of your work, it was an immense pleasure and a paradise for the palate. Simply poetry. On top of that, the group of waiters who catered to every request shows that you are a really tight-knit company. If I am ever in Zwolle, I will definitely visit you.

Nice place in Zwolle for a good steak. Cooked really well to the level we’ve asked for. Nice variety of sauces and side dishes.

I visited here for the first time in January this year and I was very satisfied at the time, so I visited here for the second time and ordered the same menu I ordered in January. The result was very disappointing. The first picture is the sirloin steak that I ate in January. The second picture is the steak I received when I visited this time. Because of the fascia in the middle, the meat was very tough and the left and right meat was not cooked evenly. The employee who I asked for the smoke salt did not return until the calculation was completed.
For your information, it was my birthday.
Sad to lose my favorite steakhouse in Zwolle.

Probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and I’ve had A LOT . We both got the t-bone, soaked it in garlic butter and sprinkled on some extra seasoning you get at the table. The waiter was awesome, he gave us lots of tips on how to eat it and what went well with it, a true professional. The dessert was incredible as well, we got the dulce de leche. Would immediately come back here any time.

When entering the restaurant your are immediately greated with a cosy, warm environment.
As starter we had some bread. This bread was warm, nice and crunchy and delicious that together with the butter that was served with it, made a perfect combination. After the bread me and my girlfriend both had the mixed grill, with some fries. The mixed grill was oh so perfect and the fries were just delicious. Not just any kind of fries but like the really good ones.
We booth had a great time and a very well prepared meal.
Definitively 5 stars.
