From the time we walked in, service was cheerful and attentive. After being seated we were brought complimentary salsa and bean dip. A refill was $1.50 and worth it. The food was served quickly and was hot. My 4 year old grandson loved the kids enchilada and ate every bite. I would 100% recommend.

***Update 2*** I has now been just under a month since we ate here, and since we have tried to reach out to the GM, Assit Manager, owner literally anyone to get a refund on our horrible rotten tasting food, and they did comment below as you can see, however it has been 2 weeks since I first emailed them and they have not responded with ANYTHING not even a lousy coupon. This is a poorly ran establishment and I would save your money!! They are just trying to get every single penny out of you. It should not take a month for someone to at least reach out and say something! This feels like theft because we didn’t even eat the food. I just want our refund back!
***UPDATE: 2 days Later, have called into the restaurant everyday since we ate there almost a week ago, and STILL NOTHING! This is so poorly ran they obviously scamming people with how much they nickel and dime people. And they keeping our $50 under lock and key!! This is ridiculous!***
We have called numerous times to get ahold of a manager to issue a refund. We have been thrown around and no one has called us back. When we got home we called into the restaurant only to be ran around to find someone who spoke good English. Which is fine! However the lady who we spoke to was getting upset with us and demanded we bring back the food to show them that we didn’t eat it. I explained that we only took the chimi and chicken nuggets, the shredded beef burrito was STILL on the plate when we left. She said to bring back the food, I said I’m not digging it out of the trash. My husband had decided to just throw it away and waste the money instead of trying to eat it to save what we spent on the meal. All in all bad customer service and service at all. You don’t ask some one to bring food back. The food we ordered was awful and I wasn’t even able to finish my food because the shredded beef burrito was soooo bad! The chimi was burnt and so were my son’s chicken nuggets that he didn’t even finish either. The place smelled like a bathroom right when you walked in. The fish tank we were sat by smelled too. ALL we want is a refund on our order!

Okay first off I just have to say if you live or are in American fork you have got to eat here if you like Mexican food.
This is the second time I’ve eaten at this location and I had to give a review the second time around cuz I am blown away by how delicious these nachos are. Huge order tastes amazing they made him exactly as I wanted it. The waitress read back to me the menu to make sure I had everything I wanted. I decided to make it an order to go because I did not like the sound with my own preferences but I am telling you they are thorough and great communication. But the best part is the food is incredible! I drive all the way to Texas just to eat authentic Mexican food and I feel like I just hit the jackpot with this place. I’m very picky person on this place is most definitely on my favorite lists. I would probably have a hard time sitting and having a conversation with someone but I would definitely get their food and tip the waitress well because that kind of communication with the specifics was on point.
Picky eater highly recommends! This is enough food for a family of four easily and it was under 20 bucks.

This is a great Mexican restaurant in the American Fork area. Our waiter was very kind and the food was pretty good tasting. The best item is definitely their carne asada. If you go, make sure to get anything with that!

We have been looking for a favorite Mexican restaurant since we’ve moved to this area and thought we would try La Costa.
There are so many gluten free options and pescatarian options which are great for our dietary restrictions.
They sat us quickly and chips, refried beans and salsa got brought to the table. We loved that they served beans. The salsa was nice and spicy and I personally loved the strong cilantro taste. My wife not so much.
She ordered the beef enchilada with verde sauce, all gluten free. And I ordered the 3 taco plate. 1 fish and 2 shrimp.
I was disappointed with the tacos. The “shells” were extremely soggy and you couldn’t pick them up to eat them, you had to use a fork. The fish was extremely bland, and the shrimp was just okay. This was after I added everything they brought out on the plate for me to assemble myself. I even tried them with their salsa. I couldn’t finish them unfortunately.
My wife enjoyed her dish though.
We also ordered 2 jalapeno margaritas. Mine came out with a couple pickled jalapenos and my wife had a pickled jalapenos and a fresh one cut up inside hers. Haha. Definitely didn’t taste jalapenos in the drink and the drink tasted extremely sweet like a premixed bottle margarita.
We might come back. Won’t order any cocktails though. And I definitely won’t order tacos.
When we do come again I’ll give an updated review. Until then we are still looking for a local favorite.

Now that I have visited here a handful of times, it’s time to review. This place is hardly ever busy. The staff is friendly and there are a few servers who, I can tell, really enjoy their jobs! The food is really good. They start you off with chips, beans, and their really refreshing salsa. I love the bean and cheese burrito. The sauce is a combination of sweet and savory. Sometimes the burrito comes with rice and beans, sometimes it doesn’t. We also have ordered the Enchilada La Costa and Steak La Costa tacos. All have been really good. They also have a pretty good drink menu if you enjoy mixed drinks.

Automatically applied a 20% tip to a group of 5 without this being mentioned anywhere on their site, or in the store. When asked the waitress counted our table in front of me and stated: “We apply for groups of 5”. I typically have no issue with restaurants that do this but 5 is exceptionally small compared to most restaurants applying this at 8 people and given she counted my group in front of me made me think she lied on the spot to make herself more money.
Similarly they played music loud enough that you couldn’t talk at the table.

First time here. Easy to see from street, with good access and parking. Friendly greeting coming in. Wonderful staff helped us out. Enjoyed the salsa and bean dip with chips for starters. Had the chili Verde smothered burrito. Came piping hot was delicious.

I had a good experience here today. The food was fresh but tasted mildly bland. There wasn’t anything exceptional about the quality of the product. The service was good. My server was kind and attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. It felt comfortable. Overall, this restaurant is pretty good.
