For dessert, I had the cheesecake, and it did not disappoint. Rich and creamy with a solid crust, topped with chocolate drizzle, raspberry sauce, and a generous swirl of whipped cream. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors came together perfectly—not too sweet, just right.
Great food, solid execution, and an enjoyable atmosphere. Definitely a spot I’d return to and recommend if you’re in the area.
I visited Glenwood’s while I was in the Owings Mills area and decided to give it a try because from the outside it definitely looks like a higher end restaurant. Once you walk in, you can tell right away it has an upscale atmosphere with a polished, classy feel.
Service was very good. My waitress was attentive, friendly, and everything came out quickly.
I started with the soup of the day, which was New England clam chowder. It was served in a large bowl and presented nicely, but I was a little disappointed once I realized the bowl was shallow and there really was not much soup in it. The flavor was good and the temperature was fine, but the clams were a bit chewy and there was not as much substance as I expected for a restaurant like this. Some crackers on the side would have been a nice touch.
For my main meal, I ordered the chicken pot pie. I know Glenwood’s is known for rotisserie chicken, but I was in the mood for something different and I’m glad I went with it. The pot pie was excellent and honestly one of the better ones I’ve had. The crust was flaky, buttery, and full of flavor. The filling was packed with good sized pieces of chicken and had a rich, hearty consistency, not watery or overly loaded with tiny peas and carrots like some places do. It was a very satisfying meal.
Overall, Glenwood’s is a nice restaurant with great service and a strong pot pie, but the clam chowder did not quite live up to the upscale expectations. I’d consider coming back, but with so many restaurants in the area, I might try somewhere else first.
Our meals were excellent. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and spinach. My wife had the hickory filet with broccoli and green beans. To cap off it off we split a slice of the peppermint cheesecake. Everything tasted fresh and it was cooked perfectly.
Just a little on the expensive side.
We will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The venue is clean, neat, and nicely decorated. The tables are roomy enough for comfortable dining. Table cloths would be nice.
The four of us shared two appetizer, fried calamari (tender, delicious) and nachos with spinach dip, salsa and sour cream (also delicious).
My wife and I had the signature burger, cooked just right, moist and beefy. Outstanding.
The other couple shared an order of ribs. There were plenty of ribs for the two of them.
I recommend the Glenwood’s on Owings Mills Blvd.

The restaurant presents itself as high-end, with well-dressed servers and elegantly set tables that contribute to a refined ambiance. However, the service was inconsistent—our server changed twice during the meal and did not provide attentive service, which detracted from the experience.
As for the food, I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. The cheese on the fried chicken was overly stretchy, the tomato spaghetti tasted as though it was made with canned tomatoes, and the spinach lacked any seasoning or flavor. At $24.90, this was disappointing for the price.
The wine selection is impressive, offering a wide variety of red wines. However, the beer selection is limited to standard options, and a craft beer selection would be a welcome addition.
Overall, while the atmosphere sets the right tone, the food and service do not match the upscale pricing. There’s potential, but improvements are needed to justify the cost.
We ordered cornbread skillet, salmon entree, rattlesnake pasta entree, key lime pie and banana pudding. All of it was excellent.
I decided to order the Chesapeake Style Crab Dip with bagette bread, Fire-Roasted Rotisserie Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, and for dessert, Bread Pudding. I must admit everything was seasoned to perfection. The chicken was superb. I wasn’t a fan of the Bread Pudding, though. It wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better. It was a huge portion, but not worth $14. I recommend that you give them a try, and I look forward to returning.
