This is a review regarding delivery only.

I ordered from Grubhub and got the egusi soup with goat meat and fufu. My order arrived quickly; I ordered around 11:10am and got my order before 11:40am. This is my first time trying egusi and fufu, so I don’t know what it is supposed to taste like, but I enjoyed my food. It arrived hot and fresh. The goat meat was tender and the fufu was pliable. I used a fork and spoon because I am at work and on the computer a lot. I will certainly order again if I am ever in the area!

***I don’t understand all the rave 1/10 food Unfortunately I thought the food was disgusting. My Nigerian boyfriend makes me Egusi and pounded yam often and I clean my plate everytime. I ordered the stewed chicken plate and the jollof is decent but very greasy and wasn’t anything special. I got 2 tiny plantains thar were HARD and almost black ( old ) when I bit into it. The side veggies was only 1 big fork of purple cabbage not the carrots onions and mixed veg advertised in a lot of insta videos. I also got the egusi and fufu ( yet it said pounded yam under the description – pounded yam and fufu aren’t the same thing ) the fufu was hard , taste old , the egusi was TERRIBLE , it had an off putting taste / taste like some chemical like cleaning chemical or something that didn’t belong , I like to eat I don’t throw food away yet I couldn’t eat this , I threw it away. ( I did however take it out trash and take it back up there which I was glad I got a refund but the owner couldn’t even speak 2 words to me to apologize for my experience ) I was so excited to try this food truck I even came up there the day before and realize I came the wrong day went home and came the next day – that’s how high my hopes were. What I got did not taste fresh was very greasy , no hint of spice period and that chemical taste in the Egusi and hard stale tasting fufu , I would NEVER try this food truck again. I’ll stick to my boyfriends Egusi and pounded yam. Oshey.
*** my review might help someome else. It wasn’t about it not being like my boyfriends – I mentioned food being old , stale , and having chemical taste ! A review is just that.

I ordered the Jollof plate with chicken. I called not too long before closing, maybe about a little over 20 minutes, and placed my order over the phone because their online ordering site was closed for the day.

They confirmed which location I wanted to place my order with (I confirmed for the Livernois location, the food truck). I started making my way there and my food was ready when I arrived. I didn’t eat my food until much later that night as I decided to explore the neighborhood since I was in town from elsewhere, and this was my first time in Detroit.

Later that night, when I rewarmed and ate my food, I was not disappointed. The portion was generous and I could not finish it that night, since I was not extremely hungry. But I finished it the next morning and it was just as delicious! I would recommend this place to others, and I would eat there again if I were to visit Detroit again, which I likely will.

Ordered two vegan meals and had it delivered with Uber eats. Boxed were packed to the max and the food is so fresh, flavorful and delicious. I called to tell them how happy I was and of course now I’m here to tell all of you! Can’t wait to try more of their offerings. Happy to support this local business again – we are lucky to have food like this so close by. YUM

1 star because i NEEDED to write this review.
Last night was our first and LAST at this TRUCK!
In an empty parking lot, where this man SAW US PULL UP, he WALKS AWAY and turns his back as my partner approaches for our online order. Using his phone, he ignores her until he sees fit.
Horrendous service!

We ordered puff puffs and it was 0/10. Maybe 1/10 for correct size and shape.
They were ALL burned. Based on the outside being SOGGY and them literally being almost black (realllllyyy dark brown with black specs) they were either refried or fried on high heat.

The taste ?!!!! Dirty old BURNEDDD grease.

It was INEDIBLE. Absolutely disgusting & we will NEVER return.

Absolutely amazing food and service! Fork in Nigeria on Livernois never disappoints. The flavors are rich, authentic, and perfectly seasoned everything tastes fresh and made with care. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. If you’re craving real Nigerian food with bold flavor and great vibes, this food truck is a must-try. Highly recommend!

The line was long so be prepared to wait, but only because so many people want food from here. Once I got to the window, my order was taken & given to me within minutes. I have been wanting to try this food truck for a while & SO GLAD I did! The fufu & cubed steak egusi was delicious! My husband, my niece & myself all loved it!

They cooked the cassava leaf with love! This was the first time I had it where they added plantains, cabbage and even gave me extra sauce. If you’re vegetarian or vegan and want to try something new this is the perfect place. I will be back

I got the Edikang Ikong with fufu. The fufu was nice and had good texture and the stew looked fresh. I got the vegan version and it felt like it needed something more as it lacked in flavor and was taken up by salt and heat vs spices. I’d be willing to try it again though to see if maybe I just had a weird batch.
