As an emo kid at heart, I really enjoyed this place! I loved the playlist—it’s exactly what I would’ve been listening to in middle school. So nostalgic. The entire restaurant and menu is rock/punk music-themed.

Our service was super fast, and I also received a complimentary churro dessert since it was my birthday. I got the Californication burger and I really enjoyed the smoky spicy mayo used on it. Plenty of patio seating for dog owners. Next time I come back, I want to try the smores thing where you cook it directly in the fire at your table.

Our server, Yessi (?), was super nice too!

We will definitely return when we come back to Big Bear! Thanks for making my birthday epic ☺️

Nice little restaurant. Cool vibes and ambience. Two lovely outdoor patios and a cozy interior with TVs and mist fans on the hot days!

We started with the cream cheese avocado rolls, and they were outstanding. Lovely amount of heat to the dipping sauce & a nice crunchy texture. Excellent filling! Then I had had the harvest salad with grilled chicken. It was very good. Nice portion as well.

OK prices. Abby served us and didn’t seem very attentive at all. Rushed away every time we tried to ask her something. Yummy food, though!

Cool place with great fare. Tried the Declaration Day Burger, Beer BBQ and Fire Rock Wings… all delicious, but the Mango Chipotle and Bacon Brussel Sprouts was the winner! The service was also great eventhoigh they seemed short-staffed. Would definitely come back here when we visit Big Bear again.

Went here Thanksgiving week 2025 for lunch. They messed up mine and my wife’s order, when I brought it to the attention of Manny, he sarcastically said what do you want me to do about it? I told him I want him to remake it, meanwhile, my wife can’t handle confrontation and she left. I spoke to Manny afterwards and told him his answer should’ve been let me go ahead and redo this for you. He didn’t check one time on whether we wanted our beverages refilled. There was a girl that worked there that was very helpful. Manny did complain that it was the chef’s fault and I agreed with him, but it’s still his responsibility to see that we are happy. He complained he had so many tables to service, that would be on the owners head not on mine as a customer. I did not stiff him, and I told him how he should treat people. He didn’t really seem to care.

Came here for a late lunch with the bf after the first choice for us had a hugely long line. The wait was quick to be seated at the bar. Our order took awhile but it was busy, even at 2pm on Saturday for a late lunch. We ordered the californication and garlic fries to share. It was delicious and just the right portion for us to be able to do dinner at a reasonable time.

This place should be called Fire Rock Appetizers & Brews. If we are talking about just the burgers I would give it a 1 star rating. Usually when you go out you want to experience a burger better than you can make at home. This was not the case, I don’t know if it’s because they are using frozen burgers or maybe they had a bad night but both of our burgers were burnt… like crunchy burnt on the ends and dry in the middle. The best part about the night was the sides. We liked their onion rings and fries the most out of everything. Also we both got bacon on our burgers, they forgot my fiancés bacon and just threw on a piece that was on the side somewhere and it was crunchy and dry.

Makayla was our waitress actually I think she was everyone’s because she was pretty much by herself running around doing everything. She was very helpful and took care of us as much as she could because they were packed.

The beer was okay, I went off the suggestions that paired with the burgers and I did not enjoy it. I don’t even want to list off the burgers that we got because it doesn’t matter. The point is that the burgers are burnt and that’s their main dish. I don’t mind the price if the burgers were better. what we ordered was 70 dollars after taxes for 2. Hopefully they can hire more people to help with the rush of people. We arrived there at 7pm we got our food at 8:15pm.

We had an awesome experience at Fire Rock Burgers & Brews! Ricky was our server and the guy was busting his ass, seriously hustling with a packed house and still made sure we were well taken care of. Props to him!

We kicked things off with the avocado & cream cheese eggrolls (so good!) and the pretzel bites both hit the spot. The Sweating Bullets burger brought the heat in the best way, and our son devoured his chicken nuggets and mac n cheese without a word always a good sign!

The atmosphere was fun and energetic, and the music playlist was on point. Great food, great service, and a killer vibe. We’ll definitely be back. Rock on, Fire Rock!

Place was too busy, maybe because of the reviews and recommendations… the waitress seemed overwhelmed and was very short and rude. There was a another lady there… not sure her role there … we decided to leave not because she was rude, but rather because we had kids and the wait was too long. When my wife kindly told the lady who was just there sort of helping that we were leaving, the lady said there is McDonalds for you. Very disrespectful and rude.
Disappointed.
To the owners, you cannot scheduled one waitress for the entire restaurant.
I would not recommend this place for families with kids.

Stopped here after a hike. Most places on the street were packed and my husband was craving a burger. They have outside dining and a few tables inside with seating at the bar. We chose the bar, so we could eat inside without waiting for a table. The place was busy and there was only 2 people working their butts off, so we just chilled patiently. Abbi helped with the drinks and taking our orders. We got the Freak on a Leash (grilled chicken), Paradise City, and House of the Rising Sun (grilled chicken). It took awhile to get the food, but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious and the fries and tater tots rocked! We had a few other people do refills and check in on us, but again, they were super busy with a line out the door. We got there around 11:30 and left at 12:40. Abbi was very kind to us and was hustling, so hopefully other patrons were kind to her with the wait times; help took awhile to get there, so she was in go-go mode. We’d love to come back and try more of their food.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying a burger at Fire Rock Burgers and Brew, and let me tell you, it was an absolute disaster. This wasn’t just a bad burger—it was a culinary crime scene that left me questioning how this establishment even stays in business.

First off, let’s talk about the patty. It was so undercooked that it looked like it had barely been kissed by the grill. The meat was a raw, pink mess, practically mooing at me from the plate. I get that some people like their burgers rare, but this was beyond that—it was borderline unsafe to eat. The texture was mushy, almost shredded, like it had been sitting out too long before being slapped together. I’m honestly shocked they had the nerve to serve this to a paying customer.

The toppings were no better. The lettuce was wilted and slimy, as if it had been pulled from the bottom of a forgotten fridge drawer. The tomato slice was sad and mealy, adding nothing but a soggy mess to the already dismal experience. There was some mustard smeared on the bun, but it was uneven and barely noticeable in the chaos of this trainwreck. Speaking of the bun, it was dry and crumbly, falling apart with every bite, as if it had been sitting out for days. It couldn’t even hold the burger together, which, given the state of the patty, might have been a mercy.

The condiments on the side didn’t help either. A pitiful packet of Heinz ketchup was thrown onto the plate, already half-used and leaking, making the whole presentation look like a toddler’s art project gone wrong. The plate itself was a mess, with ketchup and mustard smeared everywhere, as if they didn’t even bother to clean up before serving it.

I don’t know what Fire Rock Burgers and Brew is thinking, but this burger was an abomination. It’s clear there’s no care or quality control in their kitchen. If you value your stomach—and your dignity—steer clear of this place. I wouldn’t feed this burger to my worst enemy. Zero stars, if I could give less, I would.
