Great local chain Diner that serves up breakfast well! All of the staff, servers and hosts we gave experienced have been awesome and top notch! Have been to both the Waterloo and Cedar Fall locations about 30 times in total.
Coffee is always hot and life saving! Even if you are a black coffee drinker they got what you want! Seriously good coffee.
Only slight gripe we have is the food is generally a bit salty. Not an issue for me as you know your boi loves his salt but some people do not like as much salt. Not a big issue though as the food is really good. Everything tastes fresh and is made EXACTLY how you want it.
Village Inn is a Gem!

We come after church every Sunday and the entire staff is great, they remember us and have always commented on our 15 month and how big she’s getting, food is always fresh and service is great. It might be a chain but the waiters/waitresses and management make it feel very mom and pop like. We love coming here

Very prompt & courteous service, as usual! Love that you can get breakfast all day long. The wait staff are super friendly & make sure you always have everything you need: drinks, condiments, extra napkins, etc. We especially love Mel, manager! Food never disappoints! They have amazing pie, as well! Very kid friendly, too. Even the occasional fur baby is welcome- I’m guessing that’s with approval beforehand??? Food comes very quickly, even during peak busy hours! Love, love, love this place! The only thing I wish, is for being open later thru the nighttime hours! But every place I know closes earlier now, than before COVID : / Highly recommend this particular Village Inn, over the Waterloo, IA one!

Grilled tilapia with rice and broccoli and garlic toast was delicious! French toast with hash browns and eggs was also very good! Highly recommend this place for breakfast lunch or dinner! The price was also very good.

This was the first time my husband and I ate here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food tasted great. My husband ordered corn beef hash and scrambled eggs with a fruit cup and a side order of hollandaise sauce.
I ordered Eggs Benedict and it came with ham on the eggs and English muffin and then a side of hash browns. The ham was a thick piece. I would order bacon instead of ham next time and maybe have avocado slices added to the eggs Benedict. We shared a piece of banana cream pie. It was OK. In just spoiled with my mom’s homemade pie with the meringue instead of a cool whip topping.
Overall we will definitely be back!

Food was great. I had my usual steak and eggs and hash browns and toast. For dessert I ordered strawberry crepes, they started out good until I took a bite and ended up with a plastic break sack tie in my mouth which was in my filling. I brought it to the servers attention and she ordered me new ones and took it off my bill. I was shocked at first but it was all made right.

Gotta say this place has slid down hill food wise the last few years. Pancakes were cold. The pie was subpar. Skillet was good!
I now have a new perspective, I’m now paraplegic so I will review from that view. Entry here was meh…no automatic door opening. Also tables are low.

I take a group of older ladys out for a ladys night out once a week and this time we were lucky to have all 7 of this time. We are able to visit , enjoy our meals and just have a great time. I love the crepes and the Belgion waffles. But were glad we can have a choice of anything.
Thank you for your service, food and cleanliness. We had a wonderful waitress. She was new and had to put up with us roudy girls but did an excellant job. Im sorry i dont remember her name.

I realize you get very busy, but I think someone should be watching for new arrivals that have walkers, etc. I did notice a hostess help one lady get in the door, but then they got extremely busy( wed. afternoon and evening) and there was a gentleman with a walker and cane having a time walking on the sidewalk (misting out) so I got up and went just outside the doors and helped him. It’s tough when you have disabilities and want to go somewhere. We all may be there someday needing help. I am always looking out. So I am saying it wouldn’t hurt to have all employees aware of people needing help especially on Wed. because some people want a free piece of pie to take home. Thanks for taking the time reading. I retired from being a Mail Carrier, and always was watching out for my customers. Merry Christmas.
