I always get a dinner from this place, so we decided to have an event catered. The food was awesome and delicious and on time. I will definitely keep them in mind should I need catering again in the future. We ordered jerk chicken, curry shrimp and chicken, rice and cabbage. Everything was excellent!

I absolutely love the way Trecie catered to us. We were new to the Island Quizine experience, and she wanted to make sure that we got a 5star introduction of the business. She did not disappoint! So much so, that when she had to leave us, Me and my Mom almost didn’t want anyone else to take our order.
The drink and food presentation was beautiful and full of beautiful, bold flavor.
One thing that is hard to find is outstanding customer service and delicious quality food. I appreciate that they are holding up to this standard. It makes me want to support their business more. And I love that they treat my food and money I spend with respect.

Outstanding customer service….. wow!
Pepper Steak – It was merely ok. It wasn’t flavorful at all. It seemed as though it was just thrown together.
White Meat Curry Chicken was good. The meat was tender.
White Meat Stew Chicken was good. It had a lot of carrots and green peppers……Loved that, and the meat was tender. The cabbage was awful.
The gravy at this location wasn’t as good as the Catonsville Golden Crust on Rolling Rd. Unfortunately, Catonsville Golden Crust doesn’t offer white meat anything.
Portion sizes were perfect. Thank you for giving us our monies worth.
Side note – All meals came with a lot of carrots and green peppers and 2 slices of plantain.
Also, be prepared for a long wait for your orders.

This is a carryout spot. It’s best to order online or call in your order. The food is delicious. Can’t go wrong with the oxtail or the curry goat. And make sure to get a beef patty.

I was really looking forward to enjoying some authentic escovitch fish but what I got was a flavorless, overcooked disaster. The fish was dry and burnt, with an overwhelming amount of salt that completely masked any potential flavor.

Now as a Jamaican it’s sad to say this but it must be said. I ordered an oxtail with pasta. When I opened it, it was a lot of pasta and 4 little piece of oxtail for 32 dollars. The pasta was deplorable. I understand that it’s not a lot of Jamaican restaurant in Maryland but to charge so much and for the food to be mediocre, is sad. Going to have to find another place cause the place nuh ready yet.

I really enjoy Curry chicken and oxtails. I ordered from here and the food has good taste. The drawback is that I don’t want to eat a bunch of rice! The oxtail was mostly gristle and only had few pieces of curry chicken and oxtail with little bit of meat.You don’t know until you start going through you tray and notice it’s mainly packed with rice. Hardly any vegetables or plantain.

I had a craving for some Caribbean food so I jumped on Yelp and found IslandQuizine. I took the time to read some of the comments and they all seemed positive so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived the restaurant was packed and that’s normally a good indication that the food is good. I order a small curd chicken and a large ox tail and a cat fish sandwich. I was a little disappointed about there serving portions but not surprised due to most Caribbean restaurants serving portions being a little smaller.
The Ox Tail was nice and tender but didn’t have that strong bold flavor that I was looking for. The curry chicken was also nice and tender but again did not have that strong flavor that I’m used to.
All in all the food was prepared well, the service was nice, and it’s definitely a place that I will go back to. Unfortunately this restaurant will be in the middle of the pack for Caribbean food.
In ending this review I felt the restaurant played it down the middle as far as the seasoning goes for the two dishes that I had.
