Brunch is baaaack!!!!
The menu was amazing and such great service. Those cinnamon rolls though – be prepared to order a million, both to eat during your meal and then to take home to enjoy and not share with anyone else.
The deviled eggs are a must for an appetizer.
I had the steak and eggs and highly recommend.
The bacon is amazing, as well.
Basically don’t sleep on this brunch – it’s a good one!

Plaza has many amazing seafood restaurants and Jax Fish House is one of them. I believe they introduced a new menu in 2021 and I absolutely love the new menu. The chef did a great job putting together amazing seafood dishes. I once had a special dish that was a Fried Australian Prawns over Polenta and broccolini and it was absolutely amazing. They also have special happy hour menu for especial occasions such as st. Patrick’s or Christmas.

My GF was craving seafood for her birthday and choose Jax out of every restaurant in the area, while it might not be the fanciest restaurant the food is by far much better IMO.. our server ( can’t remember her name) older lady dark hair was great! She answered all of our questions and even gave us recommendations as this was our first time here. My GF went with the “line” entree and subbed out raw oysters for chargrilled and wow they were amazing. The Lobster and crab legs were delicious as well. I went with the Salmon and pork belly collards, some of the best salmon I’ve had! So much flavor! My GF and I can’t wait to come back and try other menu items! TY Jax for hosting an awesome birthday dinner for my GF.

Nice atmosphere, good seafood, excellent cocktails. Fresh oysters were shucked perfectly and were new types for me to try. A great recommendation from the server. I will be back when I want a casual spot to enjoy fresh seafood.

Great service. Great food. We were in town for my friend’s wedding and got the chance to stop by here. They were close to closing, but still gave us exceptional service and the food was amazing! Fresh and cooked perfectly!

Food was amazing and our waitress, Regan, was even better! We sampled several items including Crackerjax oysters we delicious. Maybe the best calamari I’ve ever had, a hotdogs covered slaw and crab meat was amazing and a solid gumbo! Refreshing unique mixed drinks and a good wine selection. Great place to hangout for a while during happy hour like we did! Enjoy!

The atmosphere was perfect for a dinner date. Our table in particular could have used a little more light, but it was fine. The food was amazing. I really liked all of the raw oysters and the lobster steak Mac and cheese was the best I’ve ever had (Better than Capital Grille). We’ll definitely go back. The waitress was outstanding.

Let me tell ya’ll something. I fell in insta-love with Jax and his food last night. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. Best oysters I’ve ever had. The tuna was so delicious and fresh which is important since its raw. Great atmosphere and the best seafood find in KC.

It’s difficult to find good seafood in Kansas City, but Jax delivers. House-smoked salmon on their buttery crispy Salmon Rillette Melt, sweet and tender lump crab in their crab cakes (highly recommend) in addition to their respectable oyster list. Service is awesome and friendly, and if you can get Monk as your waiter he’s fantastic.
I had recently had a bad experience during restaurant week lunch when they were slammed, but management responded to my review comments, and listened to my concerns. Management genuinely cares about their customers’ experiences. I’ve had some great meals here over the years and I look forward to my next one!
