Went for dinner. Fish and chips, fish was tough inside the breading. Cod should be lighter. Wife and daughter got the Swiss dip and French dip. The meat was very hard and stringy with hard fat lining throughout it. They each had about 1 bite. I tried it to test and they were right not to eat it. The apps were good though. Overall I definitely wouldn’t spend 120 for 3 people and no alcohol. Hate to leave a poor review but the food can definitely be improved with minor adjustments to ingredients and prep.

The food was really great. And everyone is correct about the Portobello Mushroom Fries – they are a must have. The catfish po’boy was also amazing. The service was a little slow, but since there was only one server covering the restaurant, the bar, and bartending, I will say that it was not her fault. Overall, a good experience. We will be back.

Saw your post that you were serving oysters for the weekend Saturday and Sunday. Went in Saturday evening about 6:30. I was given a special menu listing oysters and chips which I ordered. When the meals were delivered I was given fish and chips. The server said they had run out of the special in the morning. If you are going to advertise a special on line for the weekend I would expect it to be available for at least one day. Also the server said I would not be charged for my substitute order but when we reviewed our receipt it was charged. We called and we’re told it would be credited in two days. Overall disappointed.

Amber from Rockaway responded this morning and was very concerned and helpful. She said they are serving oysters this coming weekend and offered to make sure we could get some. We are visiting family here and she also offered a gift card if we wanted. I dislike leaving negative reviews but several things went wrong. I did enjoy my substitute meal along with the rest of our party. We will be back and would recommend the Rockaway. Thanks for the response.

Overall great food and service. Cajun Salmon tacos were very tasty and cooked fresh to order. We loved the slaw, and it was very fresh. Caesar salad with Romaine and tossed in homemade caesar dressing was delicious! Burger was prepared well done/overcooked so make sure to ask for it how you would prefer it cooked if not asked by your server. Fries were fresh and hot! The homemade ranch was good too.

Rockaway has turned out to be our go-to restaurant in town. Atmosphere is fun, right on the golf course and the food is excellent. If you like corned beef, you must try their homemade Reuben sandwiches. My spouse loves the salmon tacos. Plus the staff is always friendly. You can’t go wrong at Rockaway Bar and Grill!

She’s hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by! Nicole is not only friendly and welcoming, but she also knows how to craft the perfect drink every time. Her attention to detail, knowledge of the menu, and ability to create a great atmosphere make her a standout at the bar.
