Great food and even greater service! We’ve had Mickey as our server twice and he’s simply the best! He brings great energy, makes a mean margarita, and keeps us coming back 🙂 Food taste and presentation is all 10/10, best wontons I’ve had anywhere! We sat near the door so it was a little chilly, but otherwise nothing to complain about. Best sushi & service in Burnsville!

Shogun is my favorite place to celebrate my birthday or mother’s day!!! The food and atmosphere are both wonderful!!!
My husband and I usually start out with a sushi roll before ordering our usual – The Shogun Special for two. Starts out with soup and salad. The Special comes with filet mignon, shrimp, lobster, fried rice, noodles and mixed vegetables.
Our boys love to get the kids hibachi as well. Its a hearty portion for growing boys!
The chefs are very skilled and interactive with us while putting on a little show… onion volcano, egg flipping into their hat and more!

First visit and was not disappointed. Attentive friendly service. We went for happy hour…daily 4-6pm. Huge selection of options. Can’t beat it for value.

I ordered the Filet mignon medium rare. The pieces were cut so small, even the mixed vegetables were bigger than the small pieces of meat. Our server did not stop back to see if the steak was cooked to my liking. Steak was cooked well done. Not impressed. I do not plan on returning.

First time and definitely won’t be my last. Took my grandson for his birthday dinner. Food was excellent. The chef sung birthday and was with extremely careful about my food allergy (shellfish).. He will be a chef I request again. They sang again with a routine and brought out ice-cream. A Great evening was had..

I’ve been to Shogun dozens of times and I’ve never left a review!! This place is amazing! The staff is very friendly and accommodating to the point they even remember my name! The food follow suite and it’s always fresh, hot (unless it’s sushi), and speedy! Would recommend to any of my friends 10/10

The food was good. I have 3/5 for food because the VALUE isn’t there. It’s expensive for what you get. I think our table was $40 per person. They first fill you up on noodles, salad, soup, and veggies so the meat portions are average (and not worth $40).
All that said. The food is good. Not great, but perfectly respectable aside from maybe needing a bit of salt. (But I get that is a losing proposition for restaurants one man’s too much is another’s too little. We even disagreed at the table).
Our server was great. He was fast and attentive, if not a bit weird. (The guy with the long beard).
I wouldn’t choose to go here again, however I wouldn’t be opposed to it if others wanted to go.
We did not sit at a hibachi table (by design, we didn’t want to. We were all hungry after a long day of work). However the people that were at the tables where they cook the food in front of you looked like they were having a good time.

Shogun is a very friendly environment with a lot of great cooks. The food is so fantastic and I love the disco balls they have in the ceiling. Everything went smoothly and on time. The best Valentine’s Day we’ve ever had.
