My husband took me out for a date night. This was our third time visiting Market St. I feel like the ambiance has changed from the last time we went which was during the summer time in 2023 (I think). Our waitress was very welcoming and even made small conversation. The food was tasty. They gave us complementary bread which came with four different infused oils. The only one I tried was the garlic infused oil which put me in the mind of less buttery garlic bread. I got the seafood pasta which was tasty. The only thing I would change is that the crab meat was shredded throughout but that is only a minor thing. I dont like scallops but they did put them on the side just in case. My husband got the Bistro Steak sandwich. He really liked it and the burger was cooked. Overall, we had a positive experience.

2nd time in the city…
1st time at the restaurant…
Husband’s Birthday Celebration…
Nerves on 10…

They we’re aware of our reservation and greeted us when we walked in which was surprising.

The seat that we were sat at was a small intimate booth that literally fit the vibe that we were dressed for and the emotional romantic side that we were hoping to feel…

Claps all day to the waitress Ellie because she automatically took us under her wing and took her time explaining and providing the experience of the restaurant that we were hoping to receive. Her customer service is so refreshing and vibrant!

Now let’s get into this food, shall we?

Even though I researched the menu ahead of time and I don’t like to judge a picture by its book. I will gladly sit here and say that the pictures do not do this place any justice.

Our first appetizers were they deep fry deviled eggs as well as the bread & oil dipping plate. We were stunned not only by the plating of such simple appetizers but the flavor truly blew our minds.

We had a great time sitting there reading the menu and the fact that they were pairing wines up with their entree showed us that they know exactly what they’re doing with their flavors.

The mixologist is exactly what we look for when we visit an establishment because it shows that they know how to mix flavors and understand the complexities of the alcohol chosen with each drink.

Then on top of that, once we finally, finally, finally decided on which entree we will indulge our senses into and our waitress tapped into her customer service skills and seen that we were a bit apprehensive and unsure or what to choose from. So she offered us a sample of two sides which was a beautiful, surprising relief compared to a lot of establishments that we have visited and reviewed thus far.

Yes obviously the mac and cheese was the clear winner.

So once again our professional waitress Ellie helped our indecisiveness and was able to help us choose and finalize our decision for the entree.

Great food and good drinks, although a little pricey. The cauliflower bite appetizers were delicious. My sister had the brisket sandwich and I had the shrimp salad wrap. The white cosmo is always a favorite drink. It’s was sweltering hot and the umbrellas did not provide enough shade outside, so we had to move inside and each had a crush. The waitress and bartenders were friendly and the food arrived promptly.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner at Market Street Inn this evening. The restaurant has plenty of parking and outside seating along the waterway. The hostess was so sweet, she actually let us pick the table we wished to sit at. The views along the water aren’t spectacular but the outdoor seating area is lovely and spacious.

If you eat on the deck prepare for flies and gnats, they seemed very hungry tonight and we were flailing our arms the entire meal swatting them away. Citronella candles or fly traps would be nice to reduce the annoying bugs but they come with the territory eating outdoors.

Our server, Lyric, was such a nice girl. She was friendly, answered our questions and engaged in nice chit chat. She even helped us decide two mocktails since we don’t drink. We unfortunately didn’t get our drink refills and waited quite awhile for the check, but overall she was a very good server.

The food, overall, was 4 out of 5 stars. For a $17 veggie burger with fries, I expected something above a Morningstar spicy black bean burger that was unfortunately overcooked and very hard. The French fries were fantastic though! My boyfriend enjoyed the sirloin with blue cheese, lobster topping with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was more than medium rare though. He loved the blue cheese topping.

I’m not sure my veggie burger was worth $17 and the steak being worth $43, but prices are high everywhere. Between the super nice hostess, wonderful server Lyric and food, this establishment is a home run for community members and people passing through. Thank you Market Street Inn!

I work in a drs office and our order today was all messed up. Someone told the lady that ordered the food you couldn’t do romaine lettuce as a Caesar salad and have the dressing on the side. When there is certainly Caesar salads on the menu with romaine. The crabcake is very small, I asked for sliced tomato’s not roma, and a few other orders were wrong as well. Also gave me balsamic dressing when I asked for extra Caesar. This is a shame since we all eat here often, do better.

I’m from Texas and I was looking for a local restaurant that gives hometown vibes with amazing food and that’s exactly what I found here! Food was A1! The burger was seasoned to perfection and the Banana Smith Island Cake was stupendous. This spot was on the river front so this most definitely was a meal with a view and service was Fast and Friendly and staff was well versed in their menu. If I’m ever back in the area I will DEFINITELY be back.

Picked For A Random Datenight because It was located on the riverfront. My husband is older very picky , hard to please usually, and almost never eats or tries new food or places. He easily gave them a 10/10‼️ I was definitely amazed. He usually will always find somethingggg. ‍♀️ He gave high marks me as well for the fresh bread roll it was hot , crusty, and served with butter. I didn’t know we got table bread so ordered the fresh homemade pretzels bites as my appetizer. He said Auntie Anne’s need their recipe lol but they were good. My husband is a steak man but only really Ribeyes, prime rib, and cowboy steak but they only offered a fillet mignon I think so to my utter shock he ordered one and enjoyed that as well. God can do anything . Later he said it’s the best meal he’s had in awhile. The service was awesome. The vibe romantics friendly. It was to cold to eat out on the patio , but my view of the river was so beautiful at night either the decor of the restaurant. We loved it. I can’t wait to visit on a warm summer night I can see it being a local favorite.

We had great service and a fairly good meal. Drinks were on the higher end. Overall food quality was good but rated a 7/10 so that is the reason for the 4 star score. We will def be back.

Great customer service and vegan options. However, they brought out non-vegan dips for some item in the menu marked as vegan. When we go back we just need to tell them when we order to make it vegan.
