We ordered the cheesesteak burrito: 5 stars!!! It comes with two large burritos and rice perfect for a big eater or even to share between two people.
My wife had the Taco Tour, and it was very good as well. Big portions and excellent quality food.
They offer happy hour from 2–7 PM, and the margaritas at $7.50 are amazing!
Great atmosphere and attentive service from both the server and staff.

I have been to many Mexican restaurants here in the Tampa Bay looking for THE One and I have to say, we have finally found it here at the San Jose Mexican Restaurant. They serve up Hot fresh chips, the salsa is a good flavor with just enough heat to it. The guacamole is fresh and delicious and the creme…oh wow . All the food we had ordered was popping hot and delicious. The server…he was a character and very attentive. Wished we had found this place much sooner. But we will be going back again and soon.

I ordered a burrito bowl that was listed online for 15.95( and their menu) I was charged 16.25 pre tax at the store when I picked up. ($17.34 with tax) Ok no big deal. The problem was that the picture showed a big portion of guacamole. I asked if I could have just what the picture shows and the cashier said that they don’t serve it that way. (Probably should change the picture. And the price). There was less than a fork full of guac. (See pic) They put the guac scraps on the lettuce to hide in the green. And it said “covered in shredded cheese”. Only the lettuce had cheese. About 20 shreds. They also substituted salsa for pico de gallo. Not what I wanted. In order to get as much guac as the picture they charged me an additional $6.16. Overall they skimped on the sauces and if I didn’t buy extra guac for a king’s ransom, I would have had a dry meal. I felt very price gouged on this. I don’t recommend. They are falsely advertising their meals on price and quality and quantity. I should have gone to chipotle. Also.. the guac tasted like something you would buy from Publix’s in a tub. Not fresh tasting.

The restaurant is in a lovely courtyard area.
Attractive place
My friend ordered a Margarita and I ordered a Bloody Mary. Unfortunately, the request for a Bloody Mary was met with no idea what I was talking about. This was not a language barrier. She was unfamiliar w a Bloody Mary and I thought at a somewhat upscale restaurant in a trendy area that NOT knowing what a Bloody is…was odd. I said to our server it is a very common drink. She hesitated but finally said..”Let me see”. I simply said, “If no one knows what it is, just bring me water.”
Service was quick as the place was very empty at 2 p.m.
The food portions are a bit small and the prices are bit high. The food was very average with my meal arriving barely warm.
Some initiative in the customer service area would go a long way

Was there on Wednesday with some old friends.
Place only had about three other tables full and we arrived at 5:30. Service was quick, almost too quick because she kept stopping by when it was obvious we were trying to read the menu, etc. but I appreciate her tenacity, I suppose

The food was absolutely delicious but here is why I rated It low: Within my quesadilla, I took a bite into a long, black hair, my friends and myself we all have blonde hair, so it definitely was not mine/ours, and then I had to thread it out of the cheese quesadilla.
They definitely need to wear hairnets here and then I question their other food, safety protocol

Great traditional Mexican-American style restaurant. Customer service was great and the place was packed. Good margs!

We absolutely loved this place. The salsa and chips were great. Very good salsa. We had good quick service. We ate here about 2 o’clock on Tuesday and it happened to be taco Tuesday. I ordered a chicken bacon quesadilla and my wife ordered a chimichanga. We also ordered seven tacos. The waitress Emily was friendly, rapid and efficient. The staff seem to work together very well helping each other for a good experience for everyone.

Have been a few times, but will never go back. Went there last night and got food poisoning. Was up all night. Had the chicken fajitas and the chicken looked like it was completely slaughtered. Will never be back again. Table we sat it was so dark you could barely see your food.

Sweet spot to eat, atmosphere is lovely, music is nice and food is quite the treat. Just had a salad with shrimp And wow there were a lot of shrimp in my salad. Generous amount of everything (but I do recommend if you have any salad to add a sauce with it…feels kinda try without, or do more ask for more avocado) overall I would definitely recommend. !!!!! :)))

It was decent, just missing than oomph!
We got the lunch chicken and steak fajitas, with a small queso, chips and salsa.
Cons: Cheese dip was runny, the drinks were flat, food needed more seasoning.
Pros: The food was quick, or server was beyond helpful, the music selection was good.
