You might as well go to a sit down restaurant, you will probably get your food faster. Automation is supposed to speed up things but in the case of this store speeds went down. If your a dasher good luck, they will keep pushing you back and only serving the drive through. Average wait for a dash is 10 minutes or more

I typically do not submit reviews. However, I am compelled to report an incident that occurred on Tuesday, December 16th, around 8 PM. During my visit, the drive-thru was cash-only, and I was directed to use the in-store kiosk. Upon receiving my order, I noted that the fries were only half-filled, albeit fresh. When I requested a full portion, the fries were weighed and then supplemented with a mixture of old and hot fries. The staff then disputed the appropriate portion size.
Upon arriving home, I discovered that my sandwich had been prepared incorrectly. I contacted the store, and after some hesitation, they agreed to replace the entire meal.
The following evening, I attempted to have my order replaced. I spoke with three different individuals before a manager, Sarah, approached the counter while on her cell phone. Despite this perceived disrespect, I focused solely on resolving my order as previously agreed. The manager expressed frustration, stating that they were experiencing a difficult day and would only replace the sandwich, not the entire meal. I then suggested that if this were the case, I would contact corporate to file a complaint, or we could proceed with the agreed-upon full meal replacement, ensuring a satisfactory resolution for all parties.
Regrettably, the interaction escalated with further rudeness and disrespect.

This is the absolute WORST McDonald’s in the Kalamazoo/Portage area. The service in the drive thru is always slow. The employees are unfriendly. They get your order wrong and argue with you instead of trying to make it right. And the manager is totally rude! Will not be back, even though it’s convenient to where I work and the only option in this part of Portage. I recommend you don’t waste your money here.

I don’t normally go inside but there was a long line at the drive through so I went in to get my son some chicken nuggets after basketball. Your employee, Matt, came in from outside and greeted me, introduced himself, asked for my name, gave me a hug and then highly recommended the pies. We chatted for a while and he said he’d been breaking down boxes outside. He was so sweet and full of joy. After I got my order I left and he came running out from the back and said “Bye Laura! Come back soon and see us!” and gave me a fist bump.
Matt was differently abled and although that’s irrelevant to this review, he took more pride in his work and made me feel more welcome than I ever have felt in a fast food restaurant. Well done, McDonald’s, for hiring such enthusiastic and welcoming employees! I will be back and I’ll be coming inside next time, too, with hopes to have another positive encounter with this extraordinary human.

Got off of work late at night. Arrived a little before midnight on my way home. Since it’s pretty much the only restaurant open this late, it’s my usual stop for a quick meal. This time, the voice on the drive thru said they’re closing because only one employee showed up tonight. Usually, I have a relatively good experience here though.

The food was old and lukewarm. I asked for dine in but it was packed to go. The nuggets were hard as a rock and they didn’t give me the sauces I ordered. Just asked for 2 barbecue for a 20 piece. The dining room was pretty dirty but only one very nice young man was working on it (he was kind). They had a couple of off duty employees goofing off in the lobby and no one seemed to care. Nobody was wearing hairnets and there were a lot of people with very long loose hair. The person in drive thru kept scratching their head and then bagging people’s food. It definitely gave an unsanitary vibe. We decided to eat elsewhere and just threw our order out. The second star is for the nice person who was cleaning the lobby.

I then thought they fixed it and did not. i asked for it to be fixed. they refused with disrespect. Aswell as they made one of my items with the no onions like i asked then one with. For one they never get my order correct, food tastes like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for days, and this morning, “were closed”. 1:24pm. This place has really gone down hill. Two nights ago I get two large fries. They were inedible, rock hard and cold and I kindly asked them to make some hot fries. Keep in mind even though they constantly mess up I am always friendly and respectful when it takes 10-15 minutes. They made them and gave me two medium fries and so much salt I couldn’t swallow them out of spite. I was just like forget it. Prices are 2-3 times what they were for some items a couple years ago yet the quality of food and staff has gone down significantly. In my area this is the only place to eat past 8 or 9 pm so it works with my schedule sometimes. Need to start preparing meals I guess. If I ever ask for extra mayo or ketchup they dump a half gallon of it outside the bun and I’m the wrapper. There are a lot of young petty punks it seems like. I would have killed to make $14-16 an hour at 18-20 10 years ago. They act like it’s beneath them. Not all of them. I have had a couple fine experiences but the bad outweighs the good hands down and by my count Im owed a large fry or two lol.

Employees don’t show up for work after midnight. So if you’re trying to get food here, forget about it!!! I ordered through the APP & they refused to make my order. Said they were busy “cleaning” & they only had 2 employees show up to work. Waited days for refund. Won’t happen again, because I won’t be back.

I usually do not like to post negative comments, but all the Portage McDonald’s are really dirty. Food is just average McDonald’s, which at this point in time is not even that great anymore, and expensive. I don’t eat much fast food, but over the last few years, I’ve been in either Westnedge or Portage road restaurants maybe 8 times total, and nothing gets better. Cannot recommend.
