I attempted to rectify the situation with the restaurant but the manager never came on the line and intake order person wanted to lecture me about how she had only tried to accommodate me (which is a joke). I wanted to place my order online so there was no confusion but was not able to because doordash does not allow you to add toppings other than veggies on their pizza and going thru their website wouldn’t accept our address. Placing my order with their unfriendly phone person was my only option. I mostly blame myself because I shouldn’t have ordered after her unfriendly hello. To start she wanted to make a production of charging for an extra $1.45 sauce not included in my delivered order. When I called and asked about it she was quick to place blame on kitchen. Um youvare quick to charge but can’t make sure it’s in the box? How about team effort and personal pride?? I then asked for a plain chicken sandwich with no bun again a big production of not being able to do that ok whatever just trying to save you on extras that are going straight in the garbage.i receive buns with foil in the inside of the bread. The cheesy bread was old cardboard. The pizza with the extra paid ingredients cane with a couple pieces of pepperoni, one sausage, 2 giaranara peppers and still searching for the onions. Her correct me on the pronunciation of the peppers was amazing since she may have never seen one in person. The best part of this dinner that went directly in the garbage was this the $80 cost. She did offer to have their driver bring me a ranch sauce and new buns that I never wanted to begin with. In short I will probably order again once I forget how horid this experience was because I do remember YEARS ago pre covid pre politics people used to be kind.

Deep dish pizza is definitely better than Lou Malnati’s down the street. Did a pick up order for 2 Deep dishes and before I made it out the door a person from the kitchen stopped me from leaving and asked to check my pizzas. They accidentally gave me a regular pizza he went and got the correct one. Nice catch dude . They were incredible.

I am a diehard Beggars fan! I am originally from Blue Island, Illinois but have lived in Ohio for the past 20+ years. While visiting my Dad in Merriville we decided to get Beggars for dinner! I am beyond disappointed in the quality of food we received! I have had a couple bad experiences at this location but my Dad assured me that it had improved! I will never go to this location ever! If you were looking for quality ingredients and quality toppings, go to the Lansing location! I would rather eat crappy pizza from Ohio or even New York style pizza before I ever go back to this location! This is the ONLY Beggars location I have been to that has done an absolute disgrace to the brand!

First time ordering the Italian beef sandwiches and I will definitely be getting from now on. The bread was soft, the neat was tender and not salty which is amazing because my family has heart problems. The au jus was perfect, not salty at all . My family and I absolutely loved it. P.s thank you for not putting salt on the fries they were excellent.

Lay it on thick….. where? A few of my middle pieces are straight cheese and a few of my edge pieces barely have toppings on it. The quality of this place has gone down hill tremendously.

Overall above average experience. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Pizza took a little longer than expected for a thin crust and was a little well done crust, but overall flavor was good. We ate the entire pizza, so I’m not complaining. House salad was a plate full and no complaints from staff when we asked for extra dressing. We will drop back in when we’re driving through. Nice job Beggars crew.
