She then requested a ten dollar bill on top of that. So I explained I gave her $41, which covered my bill and only needed 32 cents back. Then she asked for a five dollar bill, which I gave to her because I didn’t want to look rude, and then she gave me $4.32 back.
The exchange didn’t make sense. This was the first time we have tried here and we are very disappointed. $40.68 is alot of money for maybe (and I feel that is being generous) a 1/2 cup of soup and one third of a piece bread I don’t normally request a refund, but in this situation, I do politely ask that I get a refund.
The baguette wasn’t bad, but the soup itself tasted and looked just like Campbell’s Chunky Chicken Noodle soup (which I like, but for this price I could’ve bought a can myself and at least felt like I had a meal).
I wrote that to their contact us on their website because I live almost 2 hours away. I will provide a picture of their response, as well as our receipt, and a soup cup
In my previous order, half of the ingredients were missing, and everything was carelessly put together. I decided to give Panera another chance, but today’s order was even worse:
• The sandwich was again missing the listed ingredients (corn and avocado).
• Everything was just thrown into one pile, and when I opened the package, the whole sandwich completely fell apart. It looked like no one even tried to prepare it properly.
• On top of that, I only received two napkins, which is absolutely not enough for such a messy meal.
I am very angry because instead of a proper meal, I got nothing but disappointment and frustration. This is absolutely not the quality I expect from Panera Bread.
Please investigate this situation immediately and let me know what actions will be taken to fix it.
– this is a common food-safety issue when gloves are handled incorrectly.
I noticed front cashier this morning put on gloves without washing their hands first and touched multiple surfaces while handling the gloves then proceeded to serve the bakery item which defeats the purpose of wearing them. It would be much more sanitary to use tongs when serving bakery items. It’s cleaner, and prevent direct contact with food.
I received 4 sandwiches half the size of normal (so quarter size). The bread was cut as thin as possible, almost no toppings, and sloppily thrown together. They were so small they fit in the palm of your hand like a slider. It’s clear they thought if they made them tiny they’d save $ as a restaurant.
I received a 1 person salad that was half full so not even the standard whole menu salad. It was bad, wilted lettuce, and again, was sloppily tossed in the bowl. It was inedible so I had to throw it out.
I received a 75% full quart of soup that when measured out was 3 cups as expected, not 4 to equal the advertised quart.
I received a baguette.The baguette was normal.
So in total I received salad for <1, soup for 3, and sandwiches for 2 when it is advertised as 4 cups of soup, 4 person salad, sandwiches for 4. Highway robbery.
I will never be returning to this location and frankly, I’m boycotting Panera now. After declining food quality and service and a cruddy new menu filled with pizza I’m over it. This is the last straw. Clearly they don’t need my $.
Texas roadhouse has never EVER stiffed me on a family meal. And their base level meal is the same price.(35-40$ for 4 people). When I order family meals from other restaurants it comes exactly as advertised. That’s what I expect as a consumer and I work too hard to receive half my food missing or bad and needs to be thrown out.
