We received a warm welcome from the friendly Sushi Chef Andrew upon entering. The seafood is delicious and fresh. The new ownership has significantly improved this location, making it the best sushi restaurant in Temecula.

Food was delicious and the service was friendly and responsive without being over bearing. I’m not a sushi eater but they had many options. I had tempura shrimp and tried the shrimp dumplings. Clean plates all around. Will come again.

Really enjoyed dinner here. The salmon sashimi was fresh and generously portioned, and the rolls were great too. I like that you can order half rolls to try a few different things. Friendly service and good value — spent $32 (before tip) for sashimi, sushi, and two rolls. I’ll definitely be back!

Came here because the sushi place across the street was closed but DEFINITELY glad we took that detour! We got the Viking roll, the Michelle’s roll, a California roll, a crunch roll, a golden Hana roll, some garlic edamame and gyoza. Everything came out super fresh and tasty. I’m not the biggest sushi person so Ryan, our server, was very insightful on the flavors and textures I might like. Thank you, k sushi!

Wonderful first impression of this Sushi Restaurant! All the fish was super fresh and beautifully plated. Massive slices of fish on the Sushi. Very fair pricing and smaller rolls so you can try several at once. Staff was attentive and kind. Will be back!

I’ve been here once before and I must say this time was much better this round. I enjoy flavor, and this time I got it. The veg. Noodles was better than I expected. It looks like I forgot to take a picture of the ceviche roll. I recommend giving that a shot. Hope your experience is a good as mine was.

I came back to K Sushi after a few years and it seems like the management may have changed. The place is clean and welcoming, and the service is friendly and professional.

The sushi is made with high-quality, fresh ingredients, which is definitely a plus. The menu isn’t exactly traditional, but many of the flavor combinations don’t really stand out — the taste is sometimes a bit flat or lacking in contrast. That said, I really enjoyed the Jessica Roll and the Golden Roll — definitely the highlights of the meal.

Overall, a good spot for quality sushi in a nice setting, though I would love to see a bit more creativity in the flavors

We splurged and did the AYCE (all you can eat) for $44 per person. In summary, I gave this place 2 stars because they don’t honor their promotion, the food quality was lacking, it took too long to receive our food, and they weren’t on top of their inventory. You want more details, read on.

NOT HONORING THEIR PROPROMOTION
They had a big sign outside (see photo)”Draft beer AND large hot sake for $5!!” We inquired and conveniently, they ‘ran out’ of CO2. We asked for a bottle of Sapporo and they were out of that too. Not a good start imo. We settled for a bottle of Asahi. When the bill came, sake was $5 but the beer was $10.95. This is a big pet peeve of mine– when a business does not honor their promotion posted on a giant sign hanging right above their door! The promotion was an incentive for us to order drinks. Had we not seen the sign, we would have stuck to water.

TOOK TOO LONG TO RECEIVE OUR FOOD:
We gave ourselves 1.5 hrs to eat here before heading to the movie theater. This should have been more than enough time for such an establishment. There were a total of 3 tables during our entire dinning experience, start to finish. There were 2 chefs at the bar and 2 servers. My husband received his AYCE items first, mostly Chef’s Specialty rolls. My husband continued to receive his items while I stared longingly. It took nearly 1 hour for me to receive all items from round 1. By this point, we had 30 min left before we had to leave for our movie. I weighted out my odds and with a $44 AYCE price tag and an unsatisfied belly, I talked myself into ordering one last roll for a 2nd round. I asked for the mango roll (it’s called something else on the menu but I don’t remember). Server came back and informed that they were out of mangoes . I hastily picked another roll off the menu, which was the Rainbow Spider roll. I like rainbow rolls, and I like spider rolls –I noticed the icon next to it and I chalked it up to the spicy tuna. This decision was a disaster and you can read more about it in the next section below.

FOOD QUALITY WAS LACKING
The fish and oysters were not fresh. My baked mussels came out so shriveled up, overcooked, and devoid of flavor. I can’t imagine dying as a delicious juicy mussel, only to arrive at the table looking like a stale raisin What a tragic way to go. My baked lobster roll was overly smothered in mayonnaise. The first bite was decadent but by the 2nd piece, the globs of mayo grossed me out. The Rainbow Spider roll came with a spicy chili oil that was excessively spicy! I love spicy food and handle it well. I expected the heat to come from the spicy tuna which would have been enough and appropriate. However, fish is generally a mild flavor. To drown it in such a spicy heavy-handed oil, it completely overpowered the roll. I could not taste the fish! I started to wonder if the chef had a vendetta against fish. Why so aggressive with the sauces and chili oils? He skills might have been better suited for a Mexican, Indian, Chinese, or Thai restaurant. Sushi requires finesse The only things I enjoyed were some of the nigiris, (the fresh ones at least) and my miso soup. My daughter got the chicken katsu from the kid’s menu, which was decent, but it came with a sauce that had a weird bitter aftertaste. Oh, and I never received my seaweed salad

NOT ON TOP OF THEIR INVENTORY
If you made it this far, you might have gathered that we struck out on a few items with the most egregious of them all — the CO2! How do you promote draft beers and not have CO2 to run the tap?? How are you a Japanese sushi restaurant and not have Sapporo? Not even bottled? Why have a mango roll on menu, and not stock the mango? I don’t know who did the orders but they dropped the ball. The big sign out front boasts ikura, oysters, toro, bluefin, & halibut, which I can attest that they did indeed have, but FYI — its for only 1 round, 1 order per person. It comes off stingy for a $44 AYCE but I’ve seen this at other sushi restaurants.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. We ordered a lot of food but my favorite was the Yakisoba and the Viking roll. The Viking Roll was very cool and fun to watch cook in a tin boat. Overall had a great experience.

Absolutely the best sushi in town! I love the smaller roll sizes so we can order more food. The prices are great and the service is even better. Definitely the best sushi date I’ve ever been on
