Sad to say this place could have a lot more potential. I’ve heard at lunch this place is good, but don’t come here late at night. Your brisket and pulled pork will be dead cold. Also, who the hell approved of this burnt bun?

Never received good service but the food was decent albeit type expensive, last night was the final straw. Firstly, I don’t want any lip service about sauce if I’m spending $30 for a meal.
Secondly we got all the way home and the order was missing one of the “Three Meats”. The woman was so concerned with refusing to be courteous she could not even give us the correct order.
Long story short it seems that my kind is unwelcome at Bono’s I recommend Sonny’s.

Johnny was our amazing pit master. He made the whole experience wonderful. I was so impressed with every part of the meal, but the ribs and brisket were absolutely the best bbq I’ve ever had. So juicy and flavorful I didn’t even need any sauce. Will definitely be back!

This was our first trip to this restaurant. The service was amazing but the meat lacked flavor, macaroni was no more than an attempt to finish and the baked beans were Just. My wife had ribs ; they were tender bland and at best a disappointment. We have had bbq all over the world but nothing like this. This was a complete waste of money and time. The money I can get back but the time can’t be recovered. Florida has to have something better to offer.

Very good BBQ, especially for a chain. Good prices, awesome staff, and you can actually see the pit master doing his thing. It’s a great place to come and sit although we did see quite a bit of drive-thrus. I’d definitely come back any time I’m in Jacksonville. Shame they’re only in this area. You’d kill it in Miami.

This place did not live up to the hype I heard about it. To start off it was “cash only” when I went. Then when we were seated the server was very impatient. She kept coming every second to get our order and then once we got our food she never checked in on us. The food was pretty bland. The food was out quickly so it got some points there. However, I don’t think I’ll be back any time soon.

The food was great. My brisket is always tender and the sausage has a great taste. The greens were seasoned just right. I had the best waitress who were amazing. I been to a few different Bono’s locations and I always come back lol. I go about about once a month. Lots of delicious sauces if you need them.

I NEVER write reviews about restaurants no matter how good or bad the experience is. So let that sink in. My server was extremely polite and hardworking. She kept a good eye on our table, and despite being only one of two servers on the floor during lunch rush she did a great job and brought our food out in a timely manner. If the manager/owner of this location is reading this please give Brittany a raise! The food is equally as amazing as the service. I tried the St. Louis style ribs and sausage and they were both some of the best barbecue I’ve had in my entire life. The ribs were moist and tender and paired well with the sweet and tangy sauce! But my favorite part would HAVE to be the baked beans. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jacksonville or anybody on a quest to find the world’s best barbecue. Bono’s Yall were amazing and I will absolutely be coming back again soon!

Horrible! Meat dried out and fatty. Small portions. The smoke was unbearable!!! It looked and smelled like a Forrest fire halfway through our lunch yesterday! No ventilation. Had to leave without finishing lunch as I have asthma, and smoke was horrific! Should be fined by health department! This cannot be healthy for employees or patrons. Never again!
