Best salad bar in the tri-state area. This is one of the healthiest places you can eat if you are trying to eat healthy they have all kinds of raw vegetables in the salad, bar and olive oil and vinegar for the dressing. Doesn’t get healthier than that! The service is excellent, which is what keeps their loyal army of boomers happy. At my age if I want to eat a steak, I’m going to eat a steak!

We had a wedding reception for my sister’s wedding that included about 30 guests.. the managers Tanya and Paul were extremely accommodating with us esp with it being on Valentines day and we are so thankful. They showed us to decorate the private room the night before to ensure everything went smooth the day of…We had 2 amazing waitresses ( leigh-anna and Kay) that were prompt, attentive, and very polite. The food was great. The menu options were great and the price point was great as well. We were very pleased with everything. Thank you to everyone at Hoss in altoona again for making our experience wonderful and smooth.

We love this location in particular. For me, it’s a little more personal because this is one of the very few restaurants remaining from my childhood. The staff is so friendly, the salad bar is always stocked and the food is always prepared correctly with good portions. Prices have gone up (naturally), but overall, I feel it’s still pretty reasonable. We will return in the future.

Our experience was top shelf due to Michelle at the Ebensburg location. She may be the best representative of costumer service we have ever experienced….she was extremely busy with many tables and a group of 12….but she absolutely made me and my wife feel like we were her only customers…

Hoss’s needs to step it up. The salad bar isn’t what it used to be. Although this location actually had rolls, bread and, cinnamon bread all regularly ready for customers unlike the plank road location. That was the only thing that impressed me. Dessert bar is boring and gnats hovering like every other location.

The food was good, plentiful portions and tasted good. One of the people with me got the shrimp scampi, which they said was super salty. I got the fried shrimp and it was great. The waitress was top notch though. She was super friendly and very attentive. She really was great.
