We’ve been wanting to try this place and it was a letdown. The pretzel was smothered with crab dip and mustard which was hiding the warmed up bland pretzel. It was not good. The fries were some kind of funky coated fry and not advertised as shoestring fries. The special cottage pie was enough for 2-3 people and it was taken to go but didn’t make it home as it left a hole in my belly. The fish was cooked perfectly as the only item that was tasty. The server was okay but the old lady who kept on coming over to see if we ate our food was creepy and kept on touching me. This place is part diner attitude and trying to be a finer diner. It’s too bad as it’s nicely decorated and the location is killer.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner at the Lighthouse Restaurant! The atmosphere was rustic, cozy, and classy. We enjoyed the view of the water from our table. Our food was delicious and would definitely return to try additional menu selections!

What a gorgeous venue, restaurant, and experience. Perfect for special occasions like our post-nuptials dinner celebration. The service that we received was over the top. Tasha had recommendations, stopped by often enough to ensure everything was going well with our meal, but also did not overdo it. The entrées were amazing. Prime rib done to a perfect medium rare, grilled chicken savory and tender. Sides…wow. Mac and cheese, cranberry slaw, risotto, creamed corn all just over- the-top good. Dessert course is beyond words.
If you’ve got date night, need some apps and drinks at the bar, or just a great spot to dine and relax- definitely The Lighthouse Restaurant will not disappoint.

We had the Spicy Italian Flatbread and Chicken Tenders (w/ ranch dressing) with mashed potatoes and Mac & Cheese. Everything tasted amazing. Some of the best chicken tenders you can find. The sweet tea was also very good along with the coconut margarita. Frank was our server and did a great job. Price of food was decent for the serving size.

We went for a late lunch when it was somewhat slow and we seem to get lost in the nothing but soon the waitress were covered and took all order which was brought out directly. The slight drag caused us to change or order to go nevertheless the food was still wonderful and the surrounding lake and sites are right up there with the cuisine. If you’re taking the Carolina store is a must stop.

We stopped in by Boat for lunch and we were able to enjoy the new menu. We were greeted by a lovely young man that does many different jobs at the restaurant, but was very cheerful short man with dark hair very pleasant. Our server Jennifer took great care of us on the deck. She recommended the Southwest chicken wrap and we enjoyed that but more importantly, we absolutely love the crab pretzel, which is a melt in your mouth treat. Great lunch and we appreciate you. The bathroom was clean 🙂

Food was on point — hot, fresh, and seriously good. Everything we ordered hit the spot and came out quick. The vibe is relaxed and easy, perfect for just hanging out and enjoying a solid meal.
Big shoutout to Frank, our server. Dude was awesome. Super friendly, checked on us at the right times, and made the whole experience even better. He really cared about our 3-year-old too — made them feel special, was patient, and just went the extra mile. That kind of service means a lot when you’re dining out with a little one, especially on valentine’s days too.
We’ll definitely be back — and we’re asking for Frank next time.

Had a wonderful experience with family and friends celebrating two birthdays. Table of 9 with one toddler and everything went smooth. Food was excellent across the board. The stars were the Alfredo dishes, Prime Rib, and Tacos. Everything came out fresh and was very appetizing. The staff was super friendly and provided exceptional service. Can’t beat a view of the lake from the window seating. Would highly recommend if you are around Lake Keowee and Southwest SC.

February 26th I was invited by friend for his birthday dinner at the Lighthouse restaurant by Keowee. The restaurant is very nice and clean, the staff was friendly but the service was not very fast. We were seated in the upstairs private dining room, no decorations, no extra attention was given by the servers. When the meal ended and it came time settle our checks , it was then that we learned that my friend was being charged extra because of a few no shows and the room, not a small fee but several hundred dollars. I don’t think that was fair to him because he was not aware of all of the extra fees until the check came out to the table.
