Some places try to grab you. 13th Street Pub and Grill just waits — and somehow that makes it stronger.
I didn’t sit down hungry. I sat down tired. The kind of tired that isn’t about food, but about decisions. The room handled that for me. Low noise, familiar smells, a bar that looks like it’s heard a thousand unremarkable but important stories. I ordered without overthinking it, which already felt like a small victory.
Food shows up like it knows the assignment. No drama. No stacked nonsense. Just solid, warm, dependable plates that do exactly what you want them to do. A burger that doesn’t lecture you. Fries that don’t try to be clever. Beer that tastes like beer, poured by someone who’s done this a long time and doesn’t need applause.
The real magic is in the background. Regulars nodding at each other. Someone laughing a little too hard at something that probably wasn’t that funny. Staff moving through the room like part of the architecture — present, calm, unbothered.
You don’t leave thinking “wow.”
You leave thinking, yeah… that worked.
And honestly, that’s a rare skill.

Love this place! Food is so good, and the waiter we had was awesome. Told him we had to wait an hour for two others, and he still came around to see what we needed. They make a a great old fashioned as well.

My husband had one of the seasonal cocktails. The dirty ashtray. It came with an ashtray topper and cookie. We had 1/2 Caesar Salad, Mac & Cheese with bacon, fish & chips and the Grinder. It was all really good. They have some of the best fries!! The seasonally enclosed patio was toasty warm and the vibe was great.

I’ve come to be so disappointed in the boise food scene. But I’d be damn if we didn’t have a great experience at 13th st. Great service- not too much but attentive and kind. Awesome drinks that were inventive and great. A big delicious ceasar salad 3 excellent entrees. Seriously bam! I hate average overpriced restaurants. This ain’t one. Really happy with these folks tonight. If I had t written off this city , this would be a staple.

This is a great place to eat!! The drinks were fantastic and the service was excellent! We met for a large party, our waitress attended to all of our needs very well!
I had the Chimi Flank Steak and it was delicious. It came with two sides, and I got the French fries and Mac and cheese. The fries were a little overdone, but not too bad.
This place had a great vibe to it, this location is in the Hip part of town but it was a fun place to gather.
Overall, definitely stop by if you’re looking for a place to eat!

Great service at the bar. Friendly staff, good food, cold beer. Excellent experience all around. Had the 1/2 chicken and a Caesar. Wife had the flank steak rare. Fantastic location in one of Boise’s coolest neighborhoods. Definitely will go back, especially in the summer.

13th Street pub and grill is worth a visit if you are in Boise. It is family friendly. The server was attentive and available. Most of our food was on point. However, the French fries were overly salty, and Curry soup was heavy-handed on the curry, which concealed the other flavors of the Curry soup. I would highly recommend the black and blue burger and the Cod and chips. For 5 of us, the bill was under $120 before tip. Consider the burger was Wagyu beef, and the salmon was fresh. Try the sweet potato fries.
A draft beer is $6 and an old fashion is $13 if you want an adult beverage.
