First, let me say the service was great. $15.55 for two chilitos and a beef taco salad with extra beef. Something has changed. The food isn’t as good as it used to be. The chilito was dry and had very little chili. The cheese shreds didn’t completely melt even after putting it in the microwave. The chilito I remember was ozzing with chili and had a cheese pull: not this one. The taco salad was bland. Don’t think I’ll eat here again.

As a first timer it was hard to know exactly what to order, the burrito I chose was good but a bit bland. There wasn’t a salsa bar or any hot sauce around. The flavor definitely needed jazzing up. We had a side of “chips & cheese” which amounted to a handful of tortilla chips with shredded cheese on top that was then melted and served in a paper bowl which the cheese peeled off of with some of the paper intact. Not good.

I kind of like this place. It’s a good change up from going to Taco Bell all the time with the food perhaps even being a little better than Taco Bell or at least different. It’s worth giving this place a try. No drive thru.

The chilitos could have a little more filling and the burrito had a bit too much rice and not enough meat, but it was all still delicious! I’m actually writing this review because I wanted to comment on Caleb the manager. He was such a nice guy! Explained all the different options to us, let us taste test the salsa because we weren’t sure we’d like it (we did!), and even brought our food to our table. He made our visit a very pleasant experience!

While it doesn’t have the same nostalgia vibes to it for me as some other places, their flavors are definitely more traditional than places like Taco John’s. The only critique I really have is that the spicy food (and “hot” hot sauce) were barely pushing mild on my palate. But that’s a me thing, not a them thing.

The service was excellent. This is about the food. My burrito was just dry salsa only a little bit at one end. Even though the carnitas were great tasting they put very little on my burrito. It was just a plain rice and beans burrito.

The food was absolute trash. I wouldn’t feed it to my dogs. The tacos tasted like cat food. The roll up things had the consistency of wet dog food. Flavor was non existent. The fact that they’re serving that food is surprising. No way it will last long. Too bad. Was hoping it was going to be like an upgraded Taco Bell. Little more home made quality. Was the opposite.

It still tastes the same back when I used to go to zantigos as a kid in the early eighties.
I hope it’s open for at least another 30 more years.

Easy parking, nestled between Dominoes and Leeann Chin…. Saturday night not busy,..prompt friendly service, clean restaurant, fresh tacos, good music… Worth a stop..
