As usual, problems with the drive thru. Only one car ahead of me. Had to “pull ahead” and wait 16 minutes for two sandwiches and fries. Got home and the plain burger I ordered was slathered in ketchup and pickles.

Stopped by for a late night snack. I was surprised that the basic unadorned dining room had no soda machine. Too bad. No free refills. My spicy chicken sandwich was as dry as leather. Horrible. Only keosk ordering as every employee was nowhere to be seen. After ordering from the keosk it would not take my payment. So I got the # and shouted for help as there was no one to be found. The staff was pleasant but the experience was awful.

Really hate being kept in line for 30 mins when there is only 2 other cars here. No one came on the speaker to tell any of us anything then when we get to the window the manager is rude and has clearly been eating. If kids were not hungry we would have left. This is getting worse and worse in Fort Madison! I would not recommend!

Well what do you say about the house of Ronald McDonald? It’s pretty much the standard of fast food. Quick bites, low prices, and nothing to write home about.
Update 2022: Well, the bottom of the barrel is above this franchise. Ordered a hamburger plain, 27 minutes later the five person staff produced a bag and called my number. No friendly smiles, nothing you would want.
Shame is being visited upon anyone who goes here.
They had fruitflies in the dead of winter. The ice machine was running on its own, spewing ice whenever it chose, the rings of dried soda on countertops says that there’s no management, when they dropped bags, or food they kept going as if nothing happened. And it’s the owners that are where it lays. The staff seemed overwhelmed. If I had a store that was in so much trouble, I would be working til it was right. Not this one.

Usually this McDonald’s is fine during the day. At night, all the employees are outside. & taking their sweet time making the food. Was there for over a half hour last night picking up an order I placed online. Usually I won’t complain, it’s fast food. It’s not good anyways. But I got my burgers & something smelled just a little off. I still ate it even though I shouldn’t have. This morning I have food poisoning.

We ordered off the app and waited in the drive thru for 5 minutes with no service, but the other lane had service. Went inside to tell them and had to ask for someone to wait on us. When we finally got waited on we let the manager know about the issue and she didn’t seem to care. It was just an all around bad experience

Understaffed very obviously. Which always falls back on management. Staff are rightfully frustrated, which I believe is making them take everything less seriously.
Long story short, poor management and staffing is hindering performance.

Had a great experience at this location today came during the lunch rush and it took a bit longer then normal to get our meal. We ended up getting a Mcflurry for free due to our wait. Overall the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I appreciate the kindness from the gentleman working the kitchen. The ice cream made my son’s day!
