first time trying highway 55 burgers and shake and fries. Honestly, I’m not disappointed, but I would suggest using a different type of cheese. This liquid cheese does not pair well with the chili and onions. cheddar shredded cheese would’ve been just fine.

The food came out nice and hot. It came out fast which was nice. We were really hungry so I appreciate that very much. Our Waitress was great. Overall, I was happy with everything and would go back again.

I don’t normally complain and am very understanding, but this place is ridiculous. I spent $88 for a pickup order. This is what our burgers looked like. It looked like someone took their fist and smashed them. The fries were soggy. We had to come home and re heat them. I went back to the establishment to speak to a manager and I was told there was not one on duty. I spoke to one of the cooks and he was understanding. He replaced 2 of my sandwichs I was missing. He did offer to remake all of my burgers, but I couldn’t tell which one was which from the pictures. The inside of the establishment was dirty as well. I don’t recommend going here, or at least ordering and picking up. Maybe the food is better if you sit and eat.

Very disappointed with my order. Spent $17 on a cheesesteak with little meat, and chili cheese fries . The cheese sauce watered down and lukewarm. Not the first time I’ve had this experience. Update: Stopped by after running errands in Garner. Got a kids meal burger and fries which my friend said was very good (he did not get it in a car). I got two hotdog combo with fries and ranch for dipping. The grill on the dog’s was spot on and condiments on the dogs were proportioned well. Drinks a little pricey but they have great ice-repeat love the orangeade. Previous..A gem at 40/42. Good food. Excellent service even when very busy. Orangeade is a must. The burgers were very fresh and cooked perfectly. You can get a classic burger with chili onions and slaw. My bun looks crumpled because I took it off to put some pepper on it. Tater tots were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

HWY 55 is one of my favorite burger spots. I was excited when we moved to our new home and seen that this location was less than 5mins from us. We have been here at least 4 or 5 times and each time the experience has been terrible and we would return the next time hoping for a different out come. This last time, today to be exact has topped the cake and I will NEVER eat at this location again. I’m so disappointed. Our food was placed in a plastic bag. The burger and hot dog were wrapped in Reynolds wrap, the fries were placed in the paper holder (not covered) actually touching the inside of the plastic bag. The Po’Boy was half wrapped in Reynolds wrap and the other half of the sandwich was touching the inside of the bag, tomatoes, lettuce and sauce had all spilled out into the bag as if the food was just thrown inside. The Orangeade tasted terrible (not sure how you can mess that up) Smh!! The actual taste of the food was bad. The fries were white (looked under cooked) was too scared to even try them and the burger and hot dog tasted rubbery (very chewy). The Po’Boy is currently still sitting in the bag This food cost $35 to only have to get food from somewhere else bc of this bad service. I do not recommend this location at all. I am so upset about this and the fact that we wasted our money!! This location is not even worth the one star I did give it. Don’t eat from here!!

How do you enjoy your burgers? Smashed? Broken apart? Buckets of mayo, mustard and ketchup drowning the sandwich so much that the bread drips off in goopy, soaken wet chunks? I literally waited for hidden cameras to burst out and someone tell me i was being pranked. The tomato so indistinguishible in the slop, you cant even figure out if it was included. And the lettuce they use is iceberg. The bitter white part of the lettuce no one likes towards the root of the plant. I got a couple squares of the grossest part of the lettuce and had to eat the burger with a fork. A quarterway and a couple bites in, i threw this garbage into the trash.

Literally THE WORST burger I have ever had with no obvious signs of improving after I had to see what this place was reviewed at on Google. Glad im not the only one that noticed the lacking quality. THE SCORE SAYS IT ALL.
So all i can ask the manager is, WHY DONT YOU CARE? I wish i had a business i could put some love and attention into and make really good food my customers would love.
If you dont care anymore, hand the business over to someone that will. You have an awesome opportunity on your hands and youre squandering it from laziness and neglect.

Overall a good experience. The location is a little hidden which I would not have expected but the server was very nice. My shrimp po boy was good, maybe could have used a bit more sauce but pretty good. My wife’s burger was middle of the road, nothing to write home about but pretty good for the prices. I’ll come back and try a shake one of these days

My son and i went a few months back to this location…it took us an hour to get 2 milkshakes (there was only 1 table that had customers so they weren’t busy) Terrible…. fast forward to this week…a co worker and i decided to give them another shot…
A $10 salad that looks like they gave the side salad instead… peppers and onions that come with the tenders and are less than 1 bite and a milkshake that wasn’t even full…it took FOREVER to get and the cook came to the window with an attitude after the girl on the speaker said to drive forward to give the order…

Did a DoorDash order and majority of it was absolutely disgusting! The little chicken cheesesteak was not a full size little cheesesteak and had barely any chicken in the sandwich. The burgers looked like they got rolled in half and did not have the toppings that were supposed to be on it. The chicken tenders were burnt and torn in half when we received them. Went to the actual restaurant (which was a major inconvenience for me) just to have the food remade and was told no because they closed the kitchen down. THEY CLOSE AT 9 PM AND I WALKED IN A LITTLE AFTER 8:30! They would not do anything to help satisfy me as a customer. While I was driving there my mother was trying to call and request a remake of the food so it would be ready when I got there. They answered the phone and hung up on her TWICE! When I got there and told them she was trying to call, I was told they turned the phones off and then not even a few seconds later the phone started ringing. When I asked if this is something they would serve to customers in the actual restaurant, the woman I was speaking to just started “yessing” me to death. She was not listening to anything I was saying. When I walked out of the store they locked the door behind me and continued to talk amongst each other staring at me while I was sitting in the parking lot trying to receive a refund. I am absolutely outraged and disgusted by this store. They will need to do a lot more than a “retry” to get my business ever again! And if they are gonna “take this feedback and act on it quickly” they should have done it with the first one star review they got. I think a whole new night/dinner crew is needed because this is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!
