This is the first time I’ve ever had a negative experience at a Starbucks. I travel all around Michigan and have never encountered rude service — until this location.
This is my second interaction with the same barista at the drive-thru window. The first time, she complained that I wasn’t close enough to the window, even though she was still able to hand me my drink without issue. Today, she became visibly frustrated because I used a gift card instead of a debit/credit card and said it required her to switch screens. As a customer, I don’t feel that should be met with irritation. I was simply paying for my coffee.
The tone was dismissive and unwelcoming, which was disappointing. Starbucks employees are often the first interaction people have in the morning, and that sets the tone for the day. Unfortunately, this interaction did the opposite.
Additionally, my shaken espresso was mostly ice, which seems to be a recurring issue mentioned in other reviews.
I truly hope management addresses this, as this is not the level of service I’ve come to expect from Starbucks. I will not be returning to this specific location.

Why is this location always so bad?! Came there to get drinks for my coworkers and the barista kept rudely cutting me off while ordering. She handed me a drink carrier with full hands instead of using it to load the drinks. When I tried to order a drink for my coworker she acted like she had never heard of it. When my coworker checked the app and it was in fact on the menu, she said it’s been discontinued. Then why is it showing on the app? Also, couldn’t you have just said that from the beginning? We’ll start using the van dyke location from now on. We do large orders DAILY and this location is always a miss. If you don’t like your job, find a new one instead of being rude and acting like it’s an inconvenience to do your job!

The staff is super welcoming and super sweet! It feels like everybody really enjoys their job. I was there for quite a bit of time and a staff member was so kind to ask if I wanted a cup of water. I’ve been to many a Starbucks and this one definitely beats all of them. Thanks for such great service!

Customer service is usually amazing however I’ve gotten the same drink (grande chai with pumpkin syrup) 3 days in a row this week and all 3 days I asked for light ice. All 3 days I received half of my grande cup filled with ice. I said nothing the other 2 days but I spoke up today & was told that “technically” I received light ice. I politely pointed out that it was above the light ice line since we’re speaking technically however very pointless to point out since half of my cup is clearly ice….i pay $8 each time i get this drink…. Im not paying for half a cup of ice & 2 sips of chai. They remade my drink & it was wrong… just with less ice this time Thank you… for that. Mind you I tip every single time, this shouldn’t be an issue.

Literally was a gnat in my hot chocolate which was closed with a lid and straw so was impossible for anything to get in there unless it was in there before being closed up and handed to me. Thank god I needed to reheat it so I took the lid off and seen it before I drank it. Wanted to try their hot chocolate for forever and this was my experience lol.

I went because it was what my kids wanted as their reward but in general I don’t see the hype in Starbucks. Their drinks are watered down and have too much whip cream if you don’t stop them from doing it. But the kids like your sandwiches, water, and k-pops so that makes me happy.

I enjoy this Starbucks more than most because it’s staff is very cute. I like to compliment them when I come in. One young woman served my drink with the cutest and most friendly way about her. A big smile, very bubbly and friendly. It makes me smile.

Please give Elaina a raise. I pulled into Starbucks this weekend and she gave the best customer service. Her tone, demeanor and even sparking up a conversation while I was paying. I just moved across the street and I will be back. She is terrific!

I ordered an oat milk shaken expresso via app and for some reason it doesn’t give me the no ice option . After I took the ice out this is what I have. I’m so mad, I really wasted my money this morning . It taste terrible .
