Under newer ownership, the inside has changed a bit. They’ve taken out the shopping area with kitchen/housewares. Now there are long tables to accommodate more seating for patrons. The Copper Q has always been one of our favorite spots to stop into when we’re in Big Bear. The Biscoff Cookies Croffles is fantastic! I don’t know if we’ve ever ordered something that we didn’t like. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed 🙂

The Copper Q is hands down the cutest cafe in “downtown” Big Bear! We stopped in to get a little work done before hitting the road and were greeted with smooth jazz and cozy vibes. My bagel hit the spot & I watched them cook my friends food in their open format Savory Station kitchen. Will definitely be back!

Decided to try it this morning, having never been there, and am really glad we did! Staff was friendly, including Jesus who was on the grill, and food was great! Sat at the bar to watch all the cooking and really just enjoyed our time here. Jesus handed us our food too, and informed us of where napkins and salsas are! 10/10 will come back next Big Bear trip!

I’m a huge coffee lover and always on the hunt for great new spots wherever I go — and I’m so glad I stumbled upon Copper Q! It’s quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops.
I ordered the oak shaken espresso, and wow — it’s seriously 100x better than Starbucks! We also tried an omelette and a crepe, both of which were absolutely delicious.
The decor and overall vibe of the place are fantastic — cozy, inviting, and full of character. And I can’t forget to mention the adorable giant dog roaming around the shop — such a fun and charming touch
The super friendly staff was def the cherry on top!

I was extremely surprised when they served Vietnamese coffee here, and set aside a large display corner to sell LaViet coffee.
Of course, the egg bagel dish was very delicious and the space was pleasant. A Kodiak runner from Vietnam

Staff was ok, but would be great if friendlier & more info. The one who gave me the first part of my order really didn’t seem to want to talk at all even though I’m needed to know where the rest of my order was. The pastries are amazing though.

I hate writing this because I used to genuinely enjoy Cooper Q, but things have seriously gone downhill. The owner openly mentioned they don’t want to hire enough staff, so customers are pushed onto an AI kiosk that won’t even let you modify your food. Ordering feels like arguing with a vending machine and somehow it still asks for a tip despite barely any real service interaction.
What makes it more frustrating is that the value just isn’t there anymore. Prices are already high while portions feel like rations. The irony is, many customers would probably accept slightly higher prices if it meant hiring real staff, getting flexible ordering, and restoring the welcoming experience this café used to have a few years ago.
Right now it just feels impersonal and stripped down compared to what made this place enjoyable. Investing in people instead of cutting corners would go a long way and I honestly think customers would support that.

What a nice surprise that they serve Vietnamese coffee here and also have Là Việt coffee bean. Definitely different from what you’ll get at Starbucks and even other shops from LA/Orange County. Highly recommend the Oak shaken espresso or just Vietnamese iced coffee.

We stopped in for an after dinner coffee. The lattes we had were very good with bold coffee flavors mellowed by the foamed milk and sugar we added. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and comfortable for all kinds of folks. We had the wonderful opportunity to speak to the owner for a while. She is a real gem. She gave us some history of the place and spoke of some great news happening soon with the place! Stay tuned!! I guarantee you will love it. We look forward to coming back for the breakfast menu, the crepes, and maybe some late night drinks and karaoke! Support local! Visit this place. You won’t regret it!

Cute coffee shop, but the high ceilings make it pretty loud at times. The coffee is on the weak side, but the crepes are good. Lots of Nutella, fresh fruit, and perfectly thin crepe.
