This spot is all about letting pristine seafood shine, and every dish delivered. We leaned into the uni first — the Sea Urchin Spaghetti was pure indulgence, rich and briny with that unmistakable creamy uni flavor coating every strand of pasta. We also tried live sea urchin, fresh, buttery, and bursting with clean ocean flavor for the ultimate ocean-to-table bite.
Next came the Chilled Lobster Roll, loaded with sweet, tender lobster and lightly dressed to keep things clean and refreshing — no distractions, just quality.
To round it out, the Clam Chowder hit the perfect balance — creamy without being heavy, packed with tender clams and classic coastal comfort.
Simple, indulgent, and seafood-focused, Broad Street Oyster Company is the kind of place that keeps you coming back for just one more bite.
I visited this place again—yes, it’s that good—and once again, it did not fail to deliver.
A special shout-out to our server, whose name I unfortunately can’t recall (he lived Peru). His energy, service, and attitude alone deserve a raise. Service like that genuinely elevates the entire experience.
This time, I decided to switch things up. I usually stick to my go-to order—the lobster bisque and the chilled lobster roll—but instead tried the seafood tower. As I’m writing this, I’m already craving it again. Of course, I still had to add a lobster bisque—it’s non-negotiable.
This is one of those places you find yourself coming back to over and over again. Between the consistently excellent food, outstanding service, and the unmatched views and ambiance of the area, Broad Street Oyster Co. never disappoints.

I’ve visited this location twice over the past year while in town, and the drive out to Malibu never disappoints — especially when it ends with good food. Each visit has been a great experience, made even better by the consistent quality of the dishes.
I’ve tried a handful of items, starting with the oysters, which were fresh and delicious on both occasions. I’ve had both versions of the lobster roll — chilled and warm — and personally, I preferred the chilled one this time around. The caviar hot dog was a fun and unique twist, definitely worth trying and one I really enjoyed.
I also tried the steamed mussels, lobster bisque, and clam chowder, though I’d probably skip those next time. That said, I’ll absolutely be returning for another lobster roll and to finally try the Seafood Tower, which looks absolutely incredible.
The lobster roll was exceptional.
The lobster tasted clean and sweet. Fresh from the sea. No fishy aftertaste. Real, generous chunks. Tender, never rubbery.
The roll was warm and soft. Lightly toasted. Buttery without feeling heavy. The contrast between warm bread and chilled lobster made every bite balanced.
The service elevated the whole meal.
Staff were friendly and attentive. They checked in at the right moments. They made you feel welcome without hovering.
If you value quality seafood and thoughtful service, this place delivers.
I would order again without hesitation.
The staff was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. You can truly feel the passion they put into what they do.
If you’re anywhere near Malibu (or even if you’re not!) — this place is a must. I’d fly back just to eat here again.
Sure, maybe a full sit-down restaurant would cost even more, but come on…
For $100 you can get way more food at any Korean BBQ in LA — tons of meat and seafood.
Overall, it felt like an “experience for the wealthy.” Tasty, yes, but in my opinion definitely not worth the price.
It’s just got much smaller. I understand that business was slow after the fires and it’s ok. I hope they will bring it used to be size !
It’s expensive but good.
