The name sounds hip! The building has character! The interior artfully lends a distinct vibe to guests! The staff is friendly! The vegetables are out of this world with distinct flavors worth coming back! And then we have… The Hattiesburger. The name of the town, blended with “burger” prepares the hungry patron for a beautiful bovine bounty. It almost explicitly announces something special about the cuisine to come. And then it does come. What the heck guys? This monstrosity of dehydrated disappointment has no business coming out of that capable kitchen. Did someone actually fly the meat patty to scorching Death Valley to squeeze out the last drop of moisture, wreaking having on the flavor in the process? Seriously, why do you hate burger people? So much creativity in all other aspects of the experience, only to be punished depression on a bun. The Hattiesburger deserves Life!

The atmosphere and service was good. They were super busy but the wait wasn’t too long. My veggie omelette first came out under cooked with eggs mix leaking into the plate. The server asked if I wanted it cooked hard…I said no just done…but when I got the recooked omelette it was HARD! The catfish and grits was amazing. The praline bacon was too sweet for my taste, had raw brown sugar coated.

Great little find during my travels…was midday on a Sunday so there was a little bit of a wait but not nearly as long as I expected. Food came out fast even though they were packed and everything was wonderful. The waitress was really nice and accommodating.

This is the kind of place you’d hope to stumble across and be pleasantly surprised. Even if you never stumble. Great food, reasonable prices , friendly atmosphere that’s not overbearing and a clean restroom. Breakfast menu is a win.

Great place with good food. Was not really impressed by the food. Stopped here for late breakfast/brunch. Unfortunately, they don’t serve eggs after 11am. Only scrambled eggs.. overall good experience. Country fried steak was ok
