Armadillo Den is your neighborhood meetup for everything and nothing all at the same time.
If you’re in the mood for it all we have it: 18 beers on draft, 6 draft cocktails, 4 amazing food trucks, tons of yard games, and events every weekend.
If you’re in the mood to do nothing, work from under our beautiful live oak trees with our Google Fiber WiFi, enjoy a nightly band or take the dog for some playtime in our large off-leash dog park.
Kids are allowed during the week until 6pm but not on weekends due to business volume and safety issues. Come on down and see us!
Food trucks, nightly live music & a massive outdoor area in a festive spot for beer & cocktails.

Plenty of food trucks with great food. The bar is big and moves quick. Lots of seating areas and TVs / one huge screen if you’re there to watch sports as most people are. Dog friendly! Great atmosphere, nice and relaxing!

One of these days I’ll come here for a full night of drinks, but so far I’ve visited for Via 313 pizza, Strut & Dorothy (top 3 of food trucks in Austin), and one night of cornhole and giant Jenga with a friend. There’s so much space here, the atmosphere is lively (some nights aren’t so packed so you can chill more), the cocktail choices are good and reasonably priced. If you want to bask in Austin weather while sharing some great food and drink, you can’t go wrong. My only negative is how packed the place can get sometimes, where it’s impossible to park without paying. Try it out on a slow day, not a gameday, and you’ll enjoy it if you’re not the most extroverted.

I’m such a big fan of the Armadillo Den! I have a good time every time I go. Good country music, good vibes, beautiful lights set up and everyone is always having fun. It’s the perfect spot for family gatherings.

Such a great spot. I love the big open space, various food options and that it’s dog friendly!! Plenty of TVs and seating to watch games. Great place for big groups, too. We showed up minutes before the Super Bowl started and despite it being PACKED, we had good service and still managed to find seating/parking. We will be back!

Pulled up with our dog and toddler, excited for a nice outing. The parking attendant clearly saw our child in the car. Instead of mentioning anything then, he waited until we parked, fully unloaded (parents know that’s basically an Olympic sport), and walked up to pay — only to say, “Got bad news for ya, kids aren’t allowed on the weekends.”
Interesting policy. Even more interesting execution.
If kids aren’t allowed on weekends, maybe lead with that? A quick heads-up before we unloaded half our lives from the car would’ve been helpful. Or, you know, a visible sign.
Safe to say we won’t be back.

Dogs are always welcome at Armadillo Den! No matter how much time goes between visits, the staff and patrons always welcome Penny our English Bulldog and her little bro Diggs the Dachshund — Armadillo Den is always welcoming, friendly, fun. Good drinks, solid food trucks with good options, and live music — or football depending on the season! One of the best south austin spots around for a chill weekend or evening

This place has everything you need. Live music on weekends. Several food options. A good amount of, dog friendly, outdoor space. Drink menu is pretty standard for Austin. Parking can be tricky here.

The staff was the kindest, sweetest, best service I’ve ever had. Johnny the bouncer made us feel welcome and was so kind. Note that the bartenders this night specifically were wonderful. They were prompt and gracious. WILL be coming back <3

This is an incredible venue. Big stage and a huge TV outside. Nice big roomy bar. Multiple fire pits and plenty of seating inside and out. Several good trucks with some pretty cool options are available. There is a second floor with an outside balcony for events and if they are very busy. It’s a fantastic location. I will be going back.

I was expecting a certain conservative loud messy crowd, but it wasnt. And it felt safe while having some great people watching. Music is okay. Funny enough, the Dj set playlist is better than the live music we attended for.
