I was really looking forward to some authentic Indian food and ordered Chicken Biryani and Mango Lassi for dinner via Uber Eats. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the worst meals I’ve ever had.
The biryani rice was straight-up uncooked—hard, crunchy grains that were impossible to eat. The chicken pieces were rubbery and extremely chewy, like they had been cooked in advance, frozen and reheated. The masala tasted like nothing more than chili powder dumped in a pool of oil—no depth of flavor, no aroma, just greasy heat. It was completely inedible.
The mango lassi had a decent portion size, but the taste and consistency were off—watery, artificial-tasting, and lacking any real mango flavor or creaminess. It felt like a cheap, watered-down version.
Everything ended up in the trash. For the price, I expected so much better. This was a total disappointment and I won’t be returning or recommending it to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere for Indian food in the area.
Very disappointed.

We were looking for Indian food closer to the Fort Lauderdale airport and came across the Royal India restaurant. The restaurant had nice decor and ambience. They had ample parking. It was just about opening time and so the lunch dishes were fresh and hot in the buffet. I was happy to see three vegetarian dishes in addition to the two meat ones. One thing that was missing but usual in Indian lunch buffets is some sort of fritters. The Indian pickle (achar) was very tasty and so was the dessert (rice pudding). I heard a group of ladies at the buffet saying ‘yummy yummy’ just looking at the food and they sounded like regulars to this place. Both our server and the lady at the bar were super nice to talk to. Overall a positive experience. Buffet price was reasonable for a weekday.

I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business. The food arrived looking like it barely touched a stove—bland, underseasoned, and straight-up uncooked in parts. I’ve had hospital food with more flavor.
But the worst part? The attitude. When I politely mentioned that the dish was raw, the server acted like I was inconveniencing them. Eye rolls, sighs, and a “that’s how it’s supposed to be” level of arrogance I’ve never experienced in a restaurant.
And the owner? Even worse. Instead of apologizing or offering to fix anything, they doubled down with the same rude, dismissive attitude. No accountability, no customer service, nothing. Just pure ego.
They sat 5 people on a 4 table and when asked to change the table the server straight up said no. Then had to ask another server who then agreed to seat us on a different table.
When the owner came later after we complained about uncooked and bland food,
He said if you want Indian food you should go to India. That was the breaking point for us and we left without finishing the food.
Save your money, your time, and your stomach. There are plenty of places that actually know how to cook food—and treat customers like humans. This place is definitely not one of them.

What a wonderful restaurant! I can’t say enough good things about it. First of all the food is amazing. I’m in heaven eating it with the delicious flavors. I don’t like anything too spicy so I got everything mild and it is perfect. This was my second time at this restaurant in the same week because I liked it so much. I loved the buffet on Sunday afternoon so I came back on Wednesday evening and shared several different items from the menu with my sister. Not only is the food delicious, but all the staff and servers are so wonderful, kind, friendly and patient. I am very impressed with the family business atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back again and I’m so glad to find this lovely restaurant.

I wish there were more stars to give! My husband and I dined there Christmas Eve and the experience was magical. The food was so delicious! Our waitress efficient and so lovely and the prices so reasonable for the the high caliber food. We plan to make Royal India a regular dining place, not just for holidays. And to top it off, they handed us a gift of Italian wine “for the holiday” on our way out. How gracious and unexpected!. Natalie and John

My family loves this place. We have been coming since 2010 and even though we no longer live close, it is our treat to come South and visit again. Betty has been an epic sever here since the first time we came. We always request her. When she’s off the others have been wonderful but we love her by now. The owner Robert always greets you with a smile. They care and the food is aaaaammmmaaazing! I can’t say enough of this place. Those one star reviews are sad. They must be competitors trying to sink a solid and delicious restaurant. It’s always been a five star place for us!!!

If you want salty spice less india food this is the place for you. Other wise skip it. Stopped by so called buffet. Not many choices and what they have was asprearing to be mediocre. Good friendly service is not a substitute for bad food

This is a nice Indian restaurant. I stop in once in a while. The decorations are nice. Everything in here looks clean. I like the new table cloth used. The staff is very friendly and helpful here.
I found out today that this restaurant offers a buffet for lunch. I am going to have to try it next time.
I ordered the Butter Chicken. It wasn’t good. It was tough and hard to cut, and shew. It had no flavor. The sauce did. I was a little disappointed. I think I should have gotten the buffet, lol. The rice was very good.

First time trying Indian food and gotta tell ya, I loved it! The restaurant itself is big inside and out, very atmospheric, and very clean all around. Customer Service is polite, attentive, and just nice to talk to when they have a minute. The food is EXCELLENT. From the little appetizer I had to the Lamb Curry with Nan Bread and yellow rice, it was all scrumptious and worth wolfing down, especially at the ludicrously low prices I got it all at. Give this place a try, there is a reason it’s been around so long, trust me on that!
Edit: Added pictures of the inside and outside of Royal India, the menu, and the food I got!
