Hello;
My wife and I have been coming to this particular store for a very long time now. We have found that the staff is very professional and a pleasure to work with. We have noticed that the building is very tired and could use a badly needed upgrade. But other than that, we will be coming back as often as we can. The staff is friendly, professional and easy to work with, I think I said that. We never had a bad meal here. Two weeks ago I I order fried dill pickles that tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the fried fish. But, that was the only instance in all the years we’ve been coming here. If you are looking for a good family eatery, this is the place. See you next time.

The service was slow, the restaurant was dirty, and the food was overcooked. The young woman who seated us never greeted us and acted like we were interrupting her precious time. Our server had to be tracked down by other servers constantly. This was my first and last time visiting a Perkins. I only went because it was highly recommended. It was a bad recommendation.

We were told the turkey dinner was 11.99 after asking the server multiple times (4 times to be exact) are you sure? The sign upfront says 17.99. Yes just today. Again verified and she said 11.99. So I decided to forgo my favorite perkins breakfast. To find out it was 17.99 like the sign said and the turkey was dry even with all the gravy. Bummer. Upgrade the pie for$1 more only to get the peanut butter pie not the heath. Disappointed.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for three years and been here two or three times. Each time I remember why I don’t eat here. Food was burnt and when I asked for more pancakes they told me I could only have two because I had eaten one. I can’t imagine how expensive it must be make three pancakes you have to be so petty about it. Save yourself the headache and go to lakeside Perkins, better service and food. This place sucks. I wish I had taken a picture because the food was pitiful and obviously burned. Staff should be embarrassed to offer this to a customer.

Got a skillet with a side of mashed potatoes w gravy. What I got was GRAVY with a side of mashed potatoes and skillet. It was so much gravy. I had to try to eat around it. I asked for napkins, she said okay, but I never got them. Food and service were not bad, but definitely not great either

Recently went here for a meal. Very nasty, rude & cliquish at this restaurant! I’m never going here again!!! The staff here are highly selective with their customers. They are not customer oriented and they went against my wish for a decent dinner. Then not long after getting my food, I saw the cook briefly walk out to the lobby area and he looked like a thug who just robbed a gas station and had a mean scowl on his face. Thus after seeing that, I did not feel comfortable. So I just paid for my food and left. Horrible Experience! Even the other negative reviews on here say similar things too! And if the owner(s) and staff can’t or won’t improve the situation here then, just please close your doors and go out-of-business! Because customers deserve to be treated with respect, honor and dignity and to not have their ordered requests being disgraced by some uncaring and thoughtless restaurant employee!
Lastly, please don’t bother replying with a fake canned response to this review. For its not needed. Instead, FIX THE NASTY ISSUES by setting your staff straight and follow the MN Laws regarding restaurant establishments. Otherwise, please permanently close your doors!
UPDATE: Your auto-reply is canned, fake, disingenuous and unbelievable. Please just permanently close your doors.

I am in town for work and after a long day of work, I wanted to relax in the hotel room. I’ve had Perkins before in other states and was looking forward to snagging it again. I ordered it on Uber Eats, which can struggle in freshness and this was rather fresh upon delivery.
I got the breakfast burger which can be hit or miss, but this was delicious. A well balanced of bacon, hashbrown, and fried egg to mix with a thick patty and good cheese. The was very good. The egg was runny which is important on a breakfast burger. Overall, this is one of the better breakfast burgers I’ve had.
The fries are fries, but even being mildly cold, they were still good. that was a bit of a shock, because cole fries can suck.
The Pie, come on, you can’t get perkins without the pie. Peanut Butter Silk, 10/10. Overall, great experience even getting it ubered.

Thu Nov. 13, 2025; 4:45p – Greeted and seated immediately. Patience for late arrivals and lingerers. Loaded baked potato soup was warm, thick and tasted as described on menu – a little too salty. Cheeseburger was of good size, bun was fresh and golden brown, the patty was smashed and overcooked lacking juiciness and flavor/seasoning, accompaniments were of medium size (lettuce, tomato) only one slice of cheese, no pickle spear, fries were an inadequate portion, overcooked, under seasoned. Dining area was clean and organized, service was on top of their tasks. Price: $22.98; Value: $11.98

My husband and I dined in on a Sunday morning, the restaurant was stuffed to the gills. Our waitress, Brenda, was exceptionally attentive and kind, slinging refills of Diet Coke while also juggling multiple other full tables. A true professional. The food was tasty; I was especially fond of the crispy hash browns. My potato pancake was a tad overcooked, otherwise no complaints!

Perk sesh was a success! Was this my first choice for breakfast? Of course not. However, the steak was surprisingly excellent. This place makes me feel young again. Would come back!
