Does this establishment pay for reviews or what? This is a $24 dollar basket, no drink. Oh you want tarter, that will be .50, remaloude another .50, what you see in the picture was $28 out the door. 2 tiny pieces of catfish that you cant pick up. Just falls apart, breading doesnt stick to it at all and is an absolute soggy puddle. A dozen or so frozen crinkle fries that weren’t even up to par with any fast food fries out there. You have to go to the bar to order and they ask for a tip right then. You have to clean your own table, go get your drinks, and take your number back to the counter when done. I will be honest that I am not from around here. The decor was great but there was nothing even good enough to say is was ok about anything else. Toilet seat was broken off, paper towel dispenser broken, rusted ducting falling out of ceiling, etc. Good luck.

The Voodoo Chicken Po’ boy is the best tasting sandwich I have ever had in my life. That was amazing. The gumbo was also amazing. I don’t know if this is true Louisiana cuisine but it tasted fantastic nonetheless.

La bouffe est très bonne!!!
The fried shrimp po boy was the best i have ever had, and the bread is like a crispy cloud. The rémoulade was amazing. The decoration is straight out of new orleans.

This spot really makes you feel like you are in New Orleans! The po-boys are massive and easily fed me for 2 meals. I would highly recommend the voodoo chicken one and my friend enjoyed their burger too!

The food was fantastic. The decorations are cool. I had the surf n turf and a boudin link. Both were very good. The roast beef was tender, and the Shrimp was fried well, and crispy. The sauce on the surface n turf po boy was delicious as well. Some coworkers said their gumbo was the best they had ever eaten.
The pecan bread pudding for dessert was an excellent dish! Cool vibe, great food, go out of your way to eat here.

We got the recommendation from a local couple while at Leon Bridges show last night..
Great spot and we enjoyed our Blackened shrimp poboy, fried shrimp poboy & shrimp and andouille gumbo… The boudin was just ok for me, in comparison.. I like a bit more seasoning in my rice, but it was still good and It still didn’t have a chance..
That being said, I also have family in New Orleans and visit 20+ times a year! Keep up the great work! I know why we got the recommendations!!

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Friendly staff. First time visiting and they recommended so interesting dishes. Chicken was very flavorful and tender. Atmosphere was very relaxing. Found a table on the inside near the corner. Not a very big restaurant on the inside but it feels very cozy. Would definitely visit again when I am in Birmingham.

Driving from Missouri we wanted some Boudin and gumbo, we found this online from searching and I highly recommend the gumbo and the boudin. I had my gumbo mixed with the smoked chicken and shrimp and andoulie. Amazing place and its just a few minutes off the main highway..Will stop here again if im ever in the area again.

If you’re looking for a truly exceptional dining experience, look no further! This place is definitely worth going out of your way to get there. Everything on the menu sounds incredible, and what we tried yesterday was to die for (and trust me, that’s not an exaggeration!). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We’ll definitely be back! Plus the decor is too spooky-cute!

This place is a lot to take in, stuff is everywhere and it’s a great NOLA vibe! I had potato salad, shrimp and andouille sausage gumbo which was delicious! The iced tea is a good strong flavor. I would definitely drive around the twisty winding roads of the Avondale neighborhood to eat there again!
I went on a Wednesday about 5:30 and it was not too busy, plenty of parking around back.
