We tried Roaring Rolls in Canmore for the first time and absolutely loved it! The Amritsari Kulcha was perfectly crisp and flavourful, the Makhni Paneer Bowl was rich and comforting, and the Achari Paneer Kathi Roll had the perfect tangy kick. We ended the meal with their saffron crème brûlée, so unique and incredibly delicious. Great food, warm ambience, and overall a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

I had one of the rolls with chicken in it. I forget which one. But it was ridiculously tasty. Very flavourful and lots of good chicken in it. I actually thought it wouldn’t be big enough on its own and ordered another item to share, but the roll was large enough to fill me up. I also had a mango lassi which was tasty and quite large as well. Recommended.

An unexpected gem. The Puchka Shots were a total surprise—bright, playful, and full of flavor. Chicken Tikka Masala and Dal Makhani were richly spiced and deeply satisfying. Cozy, thoughtfully decorated space with great music in the background, and service from a gentleman that genuinely took pride in the food and cared about our experience. Highly recommend.

The restaurant makes an immediate impression with its ambience—an easy 10/10. The space is thoughtfully designed, warm, and inviting, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the service or consistency in food.
We began with the Paneer Bao (4/5), which was well-prepared and flavorful, offering a good balance of texture and spice. The real highlight, however, was the Mango Ginger Mojito (5/5)—refreshing, vibrant, and executed with finesse; it was easily the best part of the meal.
The main course—Paneer Sabji with Tandoori Roti (3/5)—was underwhelming. The flavors felt one-dimensional, and while the paneer was soft, the dish lacked the depth you’d expect. To make matters worse, the service experience made the meal difficult to enjoy.
Service: 0/10.
At no point were we asked if we’d like more water, additional rotis, or even another round of food. We waited patiently for a second roti, but it never came. Even after sitting idle for over 10 minutes, no staff approached our table. The lack of attentiveness and basic hospitality was glaring and disappointing.

First of all, this place is a *vibe*. I loved the ambiance the moment we walked in — honestly a 6/5. The lighting was soft without being dark, the music was at the perfect volume, and the decor was beautiful. We sat in a booth and it was incredibly comfortable.
The food was just as impressive. We started with the Pesto Nanza and shared the Kadhai Paneer with a side rice and naan. The flavours were so bright and fresh. The paneer was perfectly soft, but the cardamom might have been the star of the dish.
Highly recommend. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu!

We were SO disappointed by the coconut fish curry.. it was basically bland, tasteless and super watery. Did not have the consistency a curry should have at all – see photo. It’s our favourite dish and normally we order it from Zyka in Banff (which is phenomenal) but we wanted to give this place a try. Huge regrets and will likely never come back here. If fish moilee (creamy, coconut curry) is what you’re after, go to Zyka!! By far the superior choice in the Bow Valley.
