Came here for dinner during the holidays. The restaurant is quaint, unique, and in a pretty location. Staff were incredibly friendly. Most of the food was excellent however I was highly disappointed to order the pierogis for $19 to receive Mrs, T’s frozen pierogis. This is a sin in Cleveland, Ohio. If you can’t have homemade ones, just do everyone a favor and remove them from the menu.

Unique location in an old firehouse with lots of interesting themed decorations. Been here for dinner once and lunch twice and service has been consistently good. Most recently had the fish sandwich. Huge, perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside.

I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time, and it has always been a reliable place for us. The location is excellent, and the atmosphere has a lot of charm. Even the surrounding area adds to it and makes it a nice spot to visit, especially if you want a comfortable, familiar place to sit and enjoy a meal.

In general, the people who work here are very nice. Service has typically been friendly and welcoming, and that is one of the reasons we have kept coming back over the years.

The food is pretty decent. Our sandwiches were good, and the fries and onion rings were fine. Nothing felt disappointing, and it was a solid, casual meal. We also shared a cookie with one scoop of ice cream, which was a nice simple dessert.

What really caught me off guard was the price. My wife and I each got a sandwich with fries, we added a smaller side of onion rings, and we drank water and club soda. We did not order alcohol or anything extra. With the shared dessert, the bill came to about one hundred dollars. I know this is the sign of the times and not just this restaurant, but that total feels hard to justify for a basic meal for two. If we each had a couple of drinks, it would make more sense, but we did not.

Overall, I still like this place. The charm, the location, and the staff make it enjoyable, and the food is decent. But the pricing is starting to push it into a category where I would rather eat at home and spend that money on other things.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere.

The Clam Chowder was good. The side salad had the perfect amount of cheese. The Turkey BLT Wrap was good and its fries were amazing. The Skinny Moose Combo was good too with grilled chicken and teriyaki sauce. My only complaint was that I’m almost positive the veggies were frozen and microwaved.

They were swamped so even with reservations, there was a bit of a wait. Once we were seated, our server apologized for the chaos and got our orders, got us everything we needed, and spaced things out nicely.

The place was well decorated with lots of ornate woodwork and firehouse pieces.

We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch recently and had a great experience. Cool decor, very clean, lots of options for seating (we sat on the back patio, which was very scenic), really good service & food. Menu had a variety of options but not too many ( I have found that restaurants with too many tend to lose quality in their dishes). Service was friendly and very accommodating (we had a 15 month old with us).
Our group had the French Onion Steak Sandwich (which was very good and the generous portion of steak was cooked exactly as ordered). Very tasty – opted for the chips (cooked in the kitchen). The Moosehead House Burger (also very good and satisfying) and the BBQ Portabella Wrap (full of flavor). The burger & wrap were ordered with fries, which were enjoyed. A Quesadilla was ordered as an appetizer – it was sizable, filled with chicken & a generous amount of cheese (along with sauces for dipping).
You won’t go wrong stopping here for a meal!

Really neat atmosphere! You have to walk around to take everything in (and be sure to look up). The food was all great & the kids flat bread pizza & grilled cheese were cooked perfectly (very important when you have picky kids). A hidden gem…literally, kinda hard to tell it’s a restaurant from the road.

I love coming back here on those wet rainy winterish days. The atmosphere of being in an old fire- police- station decorated somewhere out of upper Michigan or Alaska brings cozy to a cool day. The staff are all friendly while escorting us to our booth. And, just above a walnut lights the way. There are so many cool decorations, but I didn’t want to jump in front of staff and customers just to snap a quick picture. Moosehead, anyway, is just a place to visit for the atmosphere. Regarding food Sometimes, I’m adventurous and up for something new. And, other times, I dont want anything but my favorite staple. With Moosehead, it’s the chicken Philly staple. Even though the menu changed and just the Steak Philly is listed …The waitress was very accommodating. And, she added my requested side of honey mustard that completes that certain craving I had at the entrance. Anyway, my review is simple….Great sub! Great fries! I’ve heard from others that the steak philly is good. However, because I’m so hooked on the chicken Philly, I got my usual.. But, maybe on my next visit? My husband switched things up with a ruebin sandwich and fries. His smile is all I needed to see.. delicious! Overall, we’ve been coming since they opened their doors, which has been years. We will come back. Really looking forward to warmer weather perhaps next update will be lunch on the balcony a beautiful view over looking rocky river….gorgeous view! Definitely, a restaurant worth trying.

This place has an amazing patio with a great view of the river. The inside is nice and inviting. The food options are alright depending on what you like. I returned here because I remembered enjoying an awesome dish they offered but it didn’t seem as good as I remembered. It was the buffalo egg roll boats. They seemed extra cheesey this time, which might be your thing but it wasn’t for me. The kids enjoyed their food; although I didn’t care for the Mac and cheese or the odd looking thing they called a pizza. My girlfriend really enjoyed the french steak sandwich and I took a bite and would definitely say it redeemed everything. That sandwich has me wanting to go back to try another entree or order that item.
