I don’t know about you, but I don’t often have the opportunity to dip a light, crispy, fresh wonton into my mashed potatoes and gravy, pour soy sauce on some perfectly battered catfish, and pair General Tso’s with home-made tasting Mac n cheese. Today, however, I did all of that and more. Frog legs and collared greens over lo mein. The Fusion is Strong with this one.
I was a little unsure at first, but left completely whelmed in content and satisfaction. Service was superb, smorgasbord of selection, all was hot and fresh, and most of it was surprisingly delicious.

driving through Live Oak during lunch, my husband and I spotted Fusion Buffet and we had to stop. what a unique concept for a restaurant! we went in and immediately got seated at a booth. the food was what you would expect from a buffet, nothing special. it was about $13 per adult. definitely worth a stop once!

Nice very large buffet with American and Chinese food. They also have a salad bar and a dessert bar. Some of the items on the buffet were OK but not anything to write home about. The fried chicken and the pepper steak was delicious.

Went in the morning when they opened at 11am. Some of the food was cold. The peach cobbler was soggy and burnt. The service by the server was adequate but not engaging. I last ate there 10+ years ago, and remember the food being better. Most of it seemed like leftovers from the day before. Only thing I enjoyed were the mushrooms and doughnuts.

This is beyond a never repeat. All the meat was tough except the fried chicken and a fried chicken had zero seasoning. My husband actually had to spit out general tso’s because it was so tough. We have never ever had Chinese food that was tough. This was really terrible The pictures of those plates at least half of those plates that’s what was left because we just couldn’t eat the food. The fried potatoes were good although they could have cooked longer but that’s a matter of opinion. He said the mashed potatoes were cold and everything else was just lukewarm at best. Mine was all pretty much just lukewarm. Oh oh and the cold shrimp that you had to peel yourself still had the poop sacs. I can’t think of the term but anyone that loves shrimp knows what I’m talking about. Except for two pieces and the second piece the poop was so much, all the rest went to the trash. Do NOT recommend.

I had eaten at Fusion Buffet numerous times over the past several years and the food had been good to very good and service was always fine. I decided to treat someone to a turkey dinner who didn’t have any place to go as his Thanksgiving weekend was canceled. Unfortunately this turned out to be a very bad day to be there. The turkey in the warming pan was quite low and was quite dried out. I got some other items and asked an employee if he would replenish it with more meat. He said there was still some turkey left and I pointed out it was totally dry. So he said he’d put more out. In the mean time, I got fried shrimp (which was fine) and mashed potatoes with “giblet” gravy. The gravy had an off-putting flavor that made everything it covered taste bad. The “fresh” batch of turkey wasn’t much better, and looked like it had been left out to dry also. The creamed corn I’d enjoyed at previous visits was dark and dry on top, so I avoided it. Several other meat/vegetable dishes I tried to eat were also not fresh, so I got more fried shrimp and a piece of pecan pie. All in all it was a sad experience. Unfortunately, it will probably be a long time before I go back there again, and I can no longer recommend to others. .

Definitely one of the better buffets I have been to. The food is actually tasty and good quality. I went a few times and tried a good variety. Everything was good and fresh. The price is very reasonable. They also offer takeout at 7.50 per pound.

Well this was a disappointment I got my food and sat down as I started to eat I noticed a worker come out to the buffet grab a pan out and drop another one in it’s place no big deal, the problem was what came next the worker proceeded to take the older food and dump it on top of the fresh pan and then stir it up, when I said something about that what he just did he stated that’s what they do. I have worked over 25 years in the food service industry and that is not safe food handling procedures, I didn’t finish my plate I just paid and left. I tried to say something to the Asian lady ringing people up but she acted like she didn’t understand English. I don’t recommend eating anything from this establishment if they are willing to cross contaminate cooked foods in plan view and not care imagine what going on with the raw food in the kitchen.

This place seems to get worse every time I go. This was my last time eating here.
Everything was either stale or soggy.
If you’re not busy enough to keep the food fresh, ditch the buffet business model and go to the standard sit down model. In fact, we don’t have any good sit-down asian restaurants here. Hire some good chefs and get rid of the generic asian-american recipes and maybe you’ll see your business soar.

First time eating here and was better then alot of other buffets that I’ve been to. Fusion of Chinese and County; who would have thought. Food was tasty for a buffet and reasonable.
