The food here was really good. Service was good. It wasn’t until after I ate and began looking around. That’s when I noticed this place is very dirty. With out getting into the details I will share some photos. If the public areas are this dirty it really makes me wonder about the back of the house that the public doesn’t see.

The service was phenomenal, tables a bit dirty/sticky and meat a little too dry but still good and the sweet BBQ made up for the dryness. Kids corn dogs were eaten right up by the kids so they musta been good too. But it was very expensive

Always drive by the place so figured we’d stop for lunch. Lady at the front counter was friendly and recommended a few items. Chicken was a bit dry and even the added sauces didn’t seem to help. Spicy/hot was not hot enough. Beef was good, not great. Sweet sauce had a nice flavor. Cole slaw was not very flavorful, kind of bleh. Chairs and tables were a bit dirty and wobbly.

Really great meal with my teenage son at this location. Happened to be in the area doing some shopping and wanted to try out something new. From the moment we entered I could tell we were in for something good just by the smell. We had pulled pork, brisket and burnt ends, all were great. Good smoky flavor, sauces that worked with the meat and well cooked. The onion rings were a hit because of their cut and being very crispy. No complaints at all. Staff was all really nice and helpful. Even though it is way out of the way for me, we plan on going back.

Always feel welcome! This is our 4th time traveling up to get some outstanding bbq. I love the pulled pork cheese fry platter and my husband loves the ribs and burnt ends. The pickles are excellent combo with the pulled pork cheese fry.

4.5 stars. Definitely good BBQ, but just generally too sweet. The people here were all really friendly though, and the place was nice and clean! I wouldn’t make a trip specifically to go back here, but if I was in the area, I would definitely stop in for a sandwich.

So, let me start by saying that the service was great. The staff were very kind and welcoming. In addition, the decor was clean and well kept. Unfortunately, the food was a definite failure . I ordered the rib tip and wing combo. The food was not seasoned well and seemed to be old and tough. In addition, the sides (baked beans & coleslaw) were average at best. Overall, this experience was upsetting because I was expecting more due to my first impression. I spent a $37.37 for this half eaten disappointment.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food, service and atmosphere! The mac and cheese could’ve benefited from a little more cheese but my bbq rib tips were very tender. I enjoyed all of the trimmings that came along with my meal! The staff was very nice and I will definitely return whenever I’m in the area again!

Paid $12.46 with tax for a pulled pork sandwich on a hamburger bun. Maybe 6 ounces of meat if that. Plus they charged me a MKT fee for $.33. High end prices for sure like in in Down town Chicago.. Plus the meat was fatty and no smoke flavor..
