had a lovely meal here with my husband last night! Had never been before so didn’t know what to expect but we will definitely be back! For starters we ordered crispy chilli beef and salt and pepper prawns from the Chinese starters and then the fish pakoras from the Indian starters. All of it was delicious! Then for main we had Railway lamb curry and murg butter masala chicken curry with a garlic naan and then paired with egg fried rice from the Chinese menu. Again, all of it was delicious, especially the railway lamb curry – really flavoursome and tasty. Finished off with a slice of biscoff cheesecake to share which was YUM! Staff were all very friendly and helpful too. we really enjoyed our experience here and will definitely be back!

Visited for the first time in a Saturday night. Booked a table for 7pm and we were seated straight away. It’s really quite small inside so would definitely need to book in advance. Was served quickly and any questions we had regarding the food was answered well. We had 3 different cocktails between us and all of them were really nice. The food was all really lovely. We tried a few different things between the 4 of us and they were all good. The belly pork especially was excellent. Would definitely recommend

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for both Chinese and Indian cuisine. The service was excellent—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and clearly made with very fresh ingredients, all cooked to perfection. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The decor and ambience were equally lovely, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and great service.

Visited here off the back of so many good things said about it…. Almost felt like I had to try it! Really hoping it would live up to expectations and to be fair, it did hit the spot but not everything blew me away.
Group of 5 of us ordered a fair share of plates and tried to dish out and share as much as possible to get a real flavour of what rock salt is about.
Starters – crispy chilli beef, basil paneer tikka, crispy duck spring rolls, onion bhajis and dimsum.
My favourite here was paneer and crispy beef, both had depth and leave you wanting more with mouth watering flavours, dimsum were ok nothing special and duck spring rolls were nice, only let down here was onion bhajis which lacked any real crispness and balance of flavour was off for me. all dishes well presented and looked visually stunning.
Mains – fish costal curry, beef black bean, stirfried noodles, railway lamb curry, murg butter masala.
I ordered the fish curry and was really blown away with it, super creamy yet sharp and bold flavours that packed a punch with every bite, loads of flakey white cod fillets, even at end of the dish was still more cod. It was a winner! Such a nice curry and would suggest it!
Plenty of flavour in the beef black bean, but was touch more on oily, soy side of things beef wasn’t as tender and flavourful as would like but the dish was good but probably get a better version at you’re local takeaway.
Railway and butter masala both tasted very similar to myself, railway was better out the two curry’s, hot spicy warming without blowing you’re socks off, lamb was tender and cook well and felt apart of the dish! But the butter masala, well this dish was not for me, real strong overpowering flavour that stole the show but not in good way. Glad I had the fish curry to come back too and enjoy.
Overall rock salt is definitely worth a visit, different outtake to normal curry or Chinese restaurant with fusion of flavours and definitely hits the spot, it’s not the cheapest but it’s probably just about worth the money.
I enjoyed the visit but wouldn’t rush back but certainly will return without a fuss.
I would score this visit a 7.5/10, some really good dishes but some poor too, but majority was good and flavours certainly there!!
Services was good, but waiters could have been a bit more relaxed and less ontop when eating, only a small restaurant and can get super busy so would advise you too book.

There aren’t many establishments rated 4.9 with over 1k reviews like Rock Salt. Had an amazing dining experience for Sunday lunch today. Everyone was so welcoming and I love the decor. Food was absolutely phenomenal. My top three dishes are: soft shell crab, crispy beef and lamb raan. Their peshwari naans are sublime – so fluffy and packed with flavour. I don’t know I waited this long to try Rock Salt and I suggest you don’t make the same mistake as me!!! Would happily return and again and again.

Made this booking only 4 days before Valentine’s Day due to a mix up with our plans and was so happy to get in. The food was stunning, and not too expensive. We got a lot for our money. The place is small but well decorated, but really cold. I sat towards the back by the toilets and couldn’t take my coat off. Apart from that, I’d definitely recommend and will go again! Fantastic meal. A real step up over your normal Indian or Chinese. You could taste every flavour of every dish.
Everything looked amazing, smelt amazing and tasted amazing. All the food come out very quickly and was all piping hot, very very hot! The staff were great. Always checking everything was ok.
Would highly recommend for anyone wanting Indian or Chinese cuisine. We were just upset that we couldn’t try more of the dishes as we were so full from what we had.

From the minute we were welcomed in , without a reservation, to the minute we left, it was an amazing experience. I always think it’s a special restaurant when you can’t make the same thing at home, and the food we ordered was perfection. The menu is so well thought out and the drinks , even though we chose the non alcoholic ones (they do have alcoholic beverages) were so delicious. The service was top notch and everyone who worked there seemed to be happy to be there which is an important thing when dining anywhere. The people that bring you your food and cook your food have vibes that make for the overall experience and I must say it was a top notch experience and great food.
