Has several private rooms if you’re looking for more privacy.
The menu seed to only show dinner sets, no a’la carte items which I thought was strange.
Point deduction on atmosphere as there were several drunken business men being extremely loud and none of the staff did anything until I politely complained
Only the fish dish was disappointing as there were still some fishy smell and the meat was tough.
Overall a good experience.
Food was pretty good. Pretty average in my opinion. They cooked the abalone pretty well.
The start of the meal was pretty good up until the beef or pork course. I chose the pork neck and only got like 4 slices. It’s a third of the size of the beef if you chose that. The veggies for the pork was a cold broccoli and a piece of sweet potato. For the beef it was 1 snow pea and then a slice of bell pepper. Then came the dim sum course. It was fried sticky rice, I was expecting like a dumpling. It’s downhill after the “dim sum course”
The fruits was 3 grapes, a slice of orange and a piece of guava.
Last course was the most disappointing “homemade” dessert. It’s Steamed sponge cake. The cake was not as airy as it should be and it cheapened the meal and experience. The end of the meal sort of made the rest of the meal feel less satisfying and made me feel like I’m over paying rather than happy to spend the money
They charged 10% service fee which is stated. But, After swiping my credit card they proceeded to basically push for a tip restating how much the full total amount was then stood by to sort of watch me write a tip. When the person couldn’t stay to watch, they had someone else do it. The Credit card was already swiped you got your money. No need to watch me like a hawk.
The restaurant was clean and tidy but not much of an atmosphere. Just felt like I was in a regular Asian restaurant. Didn’t even take pictures of the place.
The alter with the constant burning incense was sort of messing with my taste. Not a fan of incense burning while I eat. Should have a fume hood there if they are constantly burning the incense.
Service was great almost constantly refilling tea until they swiped my card (stopped coming by after that). The server did forget to give me utensils for the new course after taking my old ones away.
I was really excited to try this place. But the excitement went away when the pork course arrived.
Overall 3 stars. Don’t feel like it’s that good of a place to ever go again.
No doubt about the freshness, quality and service of this place.
Fine food, service and environment, private rooms available.
Decide on what you want, that would be tough enough choice.
Tanks with selected live fish to choose, can see what you may want to eat before making a choice.
Stomach only one, choose carefully.
Price is on high side, worth every dollar on what you choose.
Highly recommended!
Since the comment on the food in blogs was excellent, we wanted to try Taiwanese seafood as its our first trip to Taiwan. We choose the Muslim menu set that came in several price range and settle for NT1,800 per person, exclude 10% service tax. Total bill for 5 pax came at NT9,900.
The set was very “Japanese” as we had shasimi as opening dish. We can taste the freshness of the fish shashimi. We than had the not so fresh grill prawn followed by abalone but think it was overcooked. Than came the scallop but not so fresh and taste so so only. The tempura squid served was oily. The chicken soup served hot but came with the skin that spoilt the taste. The vegetable spinach and prawn fried rice was plain. The desert of fruits and ginko nuts was not what we expect of high end dining standard. For the price we paid, its a miss match.
If you wanted seafood as what you usually ate in Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok, etc, this place is not for you. This place is for those who can splurged and with excess cash.
