I had such a lovely time at O ver St James. The restaurant has a calm and elegant atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. The staff were extremely friendly, polite, and attentive throughout my visit, which made the experience even better.

Last night, we had an incredible dining experience @over_uk in St. James! Indulging in authentic, delicious, and healthy Neapolitan street food was a treat. O Ver combines the best regional ingredients with traditional recipes and is the first UK restaurant to use the unique ingredient of Pure Sea Water. Their offerings include wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta, homemade breads, Neapolitan street food, fresh seasonal salads, and handmade traditional desserts that are simply out of this world.
Nestled in the heart of London, O Ver boasts a beautiful restaurant with a spacious outdoor area. With the weather on our side, we opted for al fresco dining, soaking in the lovely ambiance. ☀️
The pizza and parmigiana were absolutely to die for, bursting with authentic flavors that transported us straight to Naples. The service was equally impressive, with the staff being incredibly friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall charm of this place.

What a shame. I used to frequent this restaurant whenever I was in London, but not anymore. The welcome and service was good as always, but that’s about it. I was looking forward to their excellent pizzas, but to my surprise they no longer offer any pizzas on their menu and removed the entire oven. That was an unfortunate discovery, but I went ahead and ordered a starter (bruschette) and pasta. Unfortunately those also declined in quality. The bruschetta was extremely salty and covered in so much oil that it completely soaked the bread. I also found exactly one quarter of an olive on it, how generous. They do give you two large pieces, which is a plus.
Then came the pasta. I had paccheri with black cod, n’duja and tomatoes. The pasta was just barely cooked and handled so carelessly that only two of them ended up on my plate in one piece. Those large pastas are difficult to keep whole, but at this pricepount you do expect them to. That in itself wasn’t much of an issue, but the sauce was again incredibly salty and contained just one miserable piece of nduja.
I was so disappointed that I did not order any dessert.

O’ver is a true gem near Piccadilly Circus. The food is fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. I had the pizza which I watched get made there fresh with the firewood oven! Also had the prawn & squid hot starter – delicious! & finished off with ice cream for dessert! The staff were very welcoming , friendly and always making sure everything was ok! the atmosphere was warm and inviting & I loved the candlelit dinner it made it very calming & wholesome . A perfect spot for a delicious, high-quality Italian meal with family friends or a date night Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience at O Ver St. James. The food was absolutely delicious – I tried the arancini tartufo, tuna tartare, and wild seabass, all of which were cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also outstanding, and I finished the evening with an ice cream dessert topped with hazelnuts that was simply delightful.
A special mention to our waitress, Aniket, who truly made the evening memorable. He was very attentive, offered great suggestions, and created such a warm, positive atmosphere.

Truly excellent pizza. We had a diavola and a salsiccia & funghi and they were both fantastic. We sat outside with the heaters on, as we were just passing by and there was no space indoors. The ambience was lovely and the staff polite. Would not hesitate to return!
