Hamachi is definitely my personal Top 3 sushi restaurant’s in Salt Lake City. I just have to say it was an exceptional experience. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and every bite delivered amazing flavor. The ingredients were clearly of high quality, and the presentation was beautiful. It’s truly one of the best sushi spots in the city. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious, authentic sushi with a taste that stands out. A perfect place for sushi lovers!

Sushi is amazing. Most of the rolls don’t have imitation crab filler which we really appreciate. The volcano and Billy Billy were among our favorites. The rolls are a bit on the smaller side but the quality makes up for it immensely. Service was a touch slow in the beginning but the sushi all came out at once. Would highly recommend!

I’ve ordered both takeout and dined in at Hamachi Sushi, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best places in Salt Lake for sushi. The fish is always fresh, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality ingredients.
My favorite roll is the Billy Billy—it’s a must-try! The service is always great, and their patio seating is a nice bonus, especially on a warm evening.
Perfect spot for a casual date night or a small group outing. Highly recommend!

I’ve ordered from here before and really liked it, but last night was a huge disappointment. I added pork belly and one of them only got a chunk of pure fat with no meat at all. The shoyu broth was extremely salty—so salty it was basically inedible. I expected way better given my past experience. Really let down this time.

The food here was absolutely amazing, honestly some of the best sushi ive had in quite a while, Michelle, our server was amazing. She was attentive, kind, and had extremely good service with us. The atmosphere was great, the lighting was amazing and made the whole place feel cozy. The prices are pretty good for the food there, my girlfriend and I were pleasantly surprised when we got the check. We will absolutely be going back.

This ramen is so delicious!! However, they are a bit sparse on the meat, so I recommend adding more (you’ll get 4 instead of 2). The karaage chicken had an interesting batter (I wasn’t a big fan, but my boyfriend liked it).

So I struggled rating this place a 3. I really wanted to give this place a higher rating but here is why I couldn’t. The food was good except for a few things. We had the stuffed Shishito peppers, nigiri combo and the Shoyu Ramen. The Ramen had great flavor and for me was just the right size, and the pork belly was perfect so good…but the soup was lukewarm. No one wants cold ramen especially on 30 degree days. Please serve that ramen super hot… The Nigiri I was told was really good. Most people who follow my reviews know I’m not a raw fish fan so I leave how good that is to my wife. She said it was good. Now for the peppers which was what ruined the whole experience for me. The peppers are stuffed with cream cheese and spicy tuna and then fried in tempura batter. The tuna was just not it, the tuna should not be in that combo. Seemed to me the tuna was added to the recipe just to add a protein, the texture was wrong and it didn’t fit the dish. I feel there could be a better choice of protein if the owner feels a protein needs to be in there. Like a spicy pork or something that will stand with the cheese and pepper not work against it. Just bad choices as it is.
Beyond the issues stated above I liked this place and would consider going back just need to reconsider my menu choices.
