Incredible- my new go-to spot in Macon!! The corn tortillas are some of the best I’ve ever had. Amazing queso, delicious margs ($2.99 thurs-sat), very reasonably priced! The staff are welcoming & very attentive. 10/10 would recommend!

Ordered a bean burrito with lettuce on top and I was charged almost $3 for the lettuce on top of my burrito. I think I should have been warned for a sprinkle of lettuce I requested and to be charged $3 for. I would have foregone lettuce and got a different meal instead had I known that. It tasted delicious, but what a waste of $3. My SO had tacos that were good, I just would have liked a warning of the high up charge.

Fast service, good food, properly prepared and plated. Reasonably priced. Comfortable seating, booths and tables. Shopping center location with easy access and parking, even pulling travel trailer. Restrooms were modern and clean. Found this place while avoiding traffic snarl on I-16; Will visit again when in area.

El Sombrero is a fantastic spot for dinner! I ordered the Agave Special with shrimp, and it was absolutely delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the combination of grilled steak, chicken, veggies, and cheese dip on a bed of rice was full of flavor. The salsa and chips were fantastic too!
The service was outstanding—Tommie, my server, was amazing! He was attentive, kept my drink refilled, and even brought the check before I had to ask. It’s rare to find such proactive and friendly service.
If you’re looking for great Mexican food with excellent service, El Sombrero is the place to go. Highly recommend the Agave Special if you enjoy a hearty, flavorful meal!

Went to get some food for dinner with the family. My girlfriend had a red hair in her enchilada that she pulled out from inside the enchilada. We told them about it not asking for a refund or anything and they were very rude saying that no one there has red hair and it couldn’t have been one of their employees. Ended up paying for everything and after that they took super long to give us our receipt and were exceptionally rude. Had to literally walk up to the counter and grab our own to go box. Food wasn’t even that good same as every other bottom of the barrel Mexican restaurant and the place was completely dead.

The food was good, except the Carne Asada is actually better at Mi Margaritas. But it wasn’t bad at El Sombrero. The main issue with El Sombrero is staffing. Our waitress was superb considering what she had to do. She waited on our table of 12 like a pro, but she also had to act as cashier, and take out. Therefore, through no fault of her own, since she was working the whole place, we had to wait on our silverware after we got our food, and it took three tries before I could get some salsa. I don’t think we’ll be taking a big party back there.

I sat at the bar, had a drink, and placed a togo order. The server was nice but I’m guessing there was no bartender there that night. I had my drink and would have had another but no bartender behind the bar. ( Maybe they called out) I’m not against giving them another try. Again server was nice. The food was good. I’m not knocking them that was just my experience that day.

The place was packed! The service was good the drinks were LIT!!! If you have 5 of more people they add gratuity to the bill. The drinks are big! Their cheese dip was incredibly tasty!!!
