Mr. O
This was a great evening thanks to Runt’s BBQ and our server Yaila. The presentation, flavors, size of the items on the plate, and the affordability were phenomenal. We had the pulled pork dinner with baked beans and cottage cheese, and the full rack of ribs with mac and cheese and potato salad. Everything came out seasoned and smoked to perfection. The meat was tender, ribs fell off the bone, and the pulled pork was amazing. The sides were carefully crafted and all tasted great. We will recommend this place to family and friends when in town. We will be back.

Food was fast arrving , seasoned just right not to much ,with good tenderness not dry. Meat was not fatty but moist, ribs were extra tender leaving clean bones not dry, good sauce , service was fast and plentiful with a nice smile , observe the bus boys taking apart from rap napkins utensils and putting them in the dirty bin and giving the tables a duble wipe and so even the clean forks get recleaned nice to see, price was fair for todays economy , my only gripe parking lot by the dumpster runs down hill and can use a good cleaning customers parking are dragging the grease trail inside other than that we will return if driving true again

Wonderful atmosphere & great service. Hubby had the grilled pork chop, it was really tender & juicy. I had the 2 meat dinner with ribs and pork tenderloin, both delicious. For dessert, the home made banana pudding was the best I’ve ever had, but I forgot to take a picture! We will definitely return when we’re in this area.

This is good BBQ.
The restaurant is a typical well-worn Oklahoma BBQ shack. Rustic décor: barn tin, stuffed animals, walls of rough-cut lumber and a hint of hickory smoke in the air.
My wife had the burnt end sandwich with potato salad. This was smokey, tangy beef burnt ends, sandwiched between two slices of thick buttered Texas toast. Absolutely recommended. The sides here are excellent. I had jalapeno black eyed peas with my “Salty Dog.” The Salty Dog is an unusual version of a Ruben: two meaty, spicey hot links, sliced, with kraut, Swiss cheese, and mustard between two slices of rye. A great combination of flavors, but challenging to eat. The casings on the links were a little tough; making a clean bite on the sandwich was impossible. It turned into a tasty knife and fork sandwich. The service is prompt, attentive, small town friendly.
An opportunity for improvement: the parking area in the back.
Unfortunately, today, the only spot available was by the dumpster and the recycle grease bin. It smelled back there, like dirty diapers, spoiled milk, and rancid grease. The area looked as bad as it smelled. The leaking or overflowing fermented juices had drained onto the parking lot. A challenge to navigate when first stepping out of your vehicle. After that smell, man do I really want to eat here? Do not Park back there.
A little attention to clean this area, would greatly improve a customer’s first impression.

It still rates in my opinion, as the best BBQ in Muskogee!

i liked the food very much. i got the diner Burnt Ends with two sides, mashed potatoes and baked beans. the server messed up a few of our orders but eveneutyll we got what we ordered and the food tasted great. i loved having the sauces in bottles accessible on the table. the hot and sweet suaces combined rocked! the only thing i was disappointed in was the lack of alcohol.

Being from Texas, I was a little skeptical on Okie BBQ, but it was really good and the prices are good for the portions.
Next time I’m in Muskogee and craving BBQ, I’ll definitely be back.

Great service and friendly staff.

Wow! Everything was absolutely amazing.
Our table had salad, liver and onions, brisket, catfish, bacon cheese fries. Everything was perfect and the quality was super. The staff is very pleasant and the cook is AWESOME!. THANK YOU! For excellent food and service. We will definitely stop in again when we travel back through Muskogee. The portions and price were super, they have many options, something to please everyone. I only wished we were so full so we could have tried the deserts, I can only imagine how wonderful they are, maybe next time.

Not bad food, but disappointingly just meh. Wife had sliced brisket, barely any flavor. It definitely needed the sauce. I got burnt ends, and several pieces were quite dry and tough. The best flavor I got was from the asparagus side, and was a dollar extra…

I ordered the 2 Meat Combo, Catfish and Pulled Pork with a side of baked beans and fried okra. It was a lot of food for $20. The catfish was ok, not the best I have ever had, it felt as if it was a thawed fillet. The fried okra was your typical frozen affair, and it was a tad greasy. Would have liked to have seen it drained better. Now the baked beans were fantastic! And the pulled pork was absolutely delicious! When we arrived there was no wait but shortly after, the line built, so get there early.
