Cafe de Casa in South San Francisco is a charming little gem for Brazilian desserts and pastries. If you’re craving fresh, high‑quality pastries in a relaxed spot, this is your go‑to—highly recommend!
Tucked away in a small, cozy space, it feels like a warm neighborhood secret with just enough seating for a quick stop. The standout items are their flaky, homemade Brazilian treats—like creamy coxinha, indulgent enroladinho de queijo, and pao de queijo balls that are cheesy, chewy perfection. Pair it with their strong pour‑over coffee, and you’ve got a delightful, authentic taste of Brazil.

Absolute find!!! This cafe is one of a kind. Located just off the busy freeway overpass, it’s a small rambler style house converted into a cafe. The menu is simple and fresh and offer a number of drink and food options including pastries, bakery items, small sandwiches and more. The variety is pretty large despite the size if the place and the quality of food resembles any cafe in a big city. Be warned, it’s popular among locals so the line sometimes wraps outside. Making an online order ahead of time if you’re in a rush might be a good idea. A must visit if you’re in the area!

Cafe de Casa in South San Francisco is a revelation. I’ll be honest, I almost cried during my meal. The flavors here have a profound way of transporting you back in time; it tasted exactly like the food my grandmother used to cook for me. It’s rare to find a kitchen that can replicate that specific, nostalgic “childhood memory” seasoning.
The combination of the rice, beans, and perfectly sautéed onions on the steak is a masterclass in Brazilian comfort food. I am already planning my next visit. If you want a meal that feeds your spirit as much as your appetite, this is the spot.

Cafe De Casa has a secret Friday menu. My friend only found out about it last time because he asked someone eating it. It was Brazilian tri-tip steak. It comes with a plantain. If you ask for the combo, it comes with a plate of beans and rice, some sort of tasty potato salad with tomatoes, lettuce, diced tomatoes, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. We also got the beef salad $17.25 and some pastries for about $5 each. Everything tasted delicious. The chef really did a good job with the Brazilian flavors. There isn’t much out there that I haven’t tried. It was nice to get that “new” feeling in my life. Sitting outside, on a nice sunny morning made it more special. Great job staff at Cafe De Casa.

Stumbled into here and am so happy. Patio chill out spot with fresh empanadas and other Brazilian treats. Digging the cacti gardens. Pour over was tasty. Friendly owner with handmade everything including legit hot sauce.

Yummy gem in the neighborhood. We were craving pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) and they didn’t disappoint. They have small and large options (we went for 6 large) plus tried some other things:
Acai bowls – 9/10 ordered 2 larges. Each was a good size for 2 to share
Conxinha – creamy chicken inside – one of our faves
Kibe – probably our fave of the beef
Disco – this was too dry for our liking
Bregues – ham, sausage, tomato – pretty tasy
Rissole – beef & corn. they forgot this one, so we’ll have to try again 🙁
Rosca (coconut bread) – so yummy and soft

We ordered at the Cafe, it was about 10 minutes wait in line then 15-20 for our food. I recommend ordering online if you can. A little confusing at the cafe as some items have different fillings (like rissole also has shrimp OR corn/cheese). We spent over $100 for 6 people but we were greedy to try everything. Overall would come back again.

Cozy & busy place. The food is very well seasoned. I loved the rice and beans. The portions are pretty decent as well.
I loved the passion fruit and orange juices. Freshly made and so tasty.
Seating is first come, first serve style and you must wait for someone to leave if they are full.
We liked their service which was fast and the servers are very courteous.

This is the location if I feel like having some pao de quelio (cheese bun), this would be my location to go. Parking is a little bit of a hit and miss. If you are lucky, there is parking in front or by the side. The location is basically small hole in a wall type of location but the food and pastries is so good. Aside from the pao de quelio( cheese bun), their rosca de coco (coconut bread) or enroladinho de quelio (coconut bread with cheese). Also, we tried the coxinha (Brazilian pastry with chicken). Would I go back. Definitely. But need to be dropped off most times when we crave cheese buns.
