This IHOP has the best service I have ever experienced. So kind, attentive, patient, witty, organized, and welcoming. My server today, Katie, was PHENOMENAL. She was busy, but showed down at each table to make sure all our needs were met and gave great suggestions on what to order. Praise God for this IHOP!

We came to IHOP in Brighton expecting a normal, relaxing dinner, and instead experienced something that was honestly shocking and unsafe.

We ordered an Oreo milkshake and while drinking it, we found pieces of glass inside the milkshake. On top of that, the glass it was served in was chipped. This is not just a small mistake—this is a serious safety hazard that could have caused real injury.

When we brought it to the staff’s attention and asked for a manager, the response was extremely disappointing. The person who came to help appeared untrained and unsure of how to handle the situation, and there was no experienced manager available. The only thing offered was to comp the milkshake, which is completely inadequate given the severity of what happened.

Finding glass in a drink is unacceptable under any circumstances. The lack of urgency, concern, and proper handling made the situation even worse. It raises serious questions about the safety standards and management at this location.

This experience was not just disappointing—it was dangerous. I would strongly urge others to be cautious.

The first thing that I was impressed with was how well the sideways were shoveled and salted. Great service, great food and well run. Management checked in on our table to make sure we were enjoying our food and service. Top notch! The steak tips are amazing!!!

Me and my Dad got breakfast this morning. Breakfast was not very good. Hashbrowns weren’t fully cooked, over easy eggs weren’t right, pancakes one side overcooked other side undercooked, ham was alright, Dad liked the rye toast, sausage was funky, and bacon balled up. Definitely overpriced for what we received, but the service was awesome!

Brought my kids in and it was honestly a lifesaver. Kids eat free and you can’t find that anywhere else. They were patient, got the food out quick, and the kids actually ate their pancakes (which never happens). No one rushed us, staff was sweet, and it felt easy instead of stressful.

Visited the IHOP at 8075 Nemco Rd in Brighton, MI on January 8, 2026 at 6:30 pm, and this was a truly awful experience from start to finish. Our server, Quinn, was the ONLY highlight—she was single-handedly handling our party of seven plus two other tables (one with three people and one solo diner). She was overwhelmed but stayed polite, attentive, and did her absolute best to keep things moving. Kudos to Quinn for trying so hard under tough conditions.

Everything else was a disaster. The food was badly overcooked—dry, tough, and basically flavorless. It seemed like the chef (David) could really use some more practice or better attention to the grill to avoid burning and drying out the items. I ordered the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes combo, and even though it comes with two pancakes, the portion still felt really skimpy and unsatisfying compared to what I’m used to at other locations. The milkshakes were rushed and completely flavorless—thin, watery, bland, and nowhere near the thick, creamy standard you’d expect; they tasted like melted disappointment.
To top it off, the men’s and women’s bathrooms were disgusting—filthy, unclean, and clearly not maintained. I even noticed the manager sign off on them without addressing the mess, which says a lot about the overall standards here.

The bill was around $150 for our group, and it felt like straight-up robbery. Skimpy portions, poor quality, order errors, overpricing, and unhygienic facilities don’t justify the cost. This location desperately needs better management, kitchen training/consistency (especially on cooking basics), and basic cleanliness. I won’t be returning—avoid this IHOP if you’re in Brighton.

UPDATE 1/30/26: no one still hasn’t got with me. I got one email saying “Hey will let you know what’s going on” and nothing ever happened for me. not even a contact from the owner this place. So again I have emphasize avoid this place

First off, pump some heat in this place. It was very, very cold. Almost at cold as the food. Now, if I go into an IHOP I’m not expecting anything GOOD per say. I’m expecting a solid 3/5 if I’m lucky. This was a barely cooked omelette with raw onions and peppers, , unwarmed cheese, and a ghosting of bacon crumbles. Our overworked waiter did his best, but wow the rest of this place sucked.

The food at IHOP is delicious! Our server,Eva,was exceptional and on task. Manager Emerald and Cook Juan formed the three gems to make this a dining pleasure. Working solo, every dish Juan prepared was exceptionally good. See my photos. Eva was a well trained waitress that looked over several tables with grace and ease. Happy
Hour is from3 pm to 8 pm with good values to choose from. A family sat next to us and m with Eva and manager Emerald pointing out Happy Hour
Meals identical to the one’s the family was going to order thus saving the family money! This was a classy move. IHOP should be proud of these three employees. I am DEFINITELY coming back and you should too!

IHOP is a welcoming place where everything feels clean and well taken care of. The tables, floors, and restrooms are usually neat, which makes eating there more comfortable and enjoyable. The food is also very good, especially their pancakes, which are warm, fluffy, and full of flavor. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, IHOP offers tasty meals that are cooked well and served fresh, making it a nice place to eat with friends or family.
