We ordered an Oreo milkshake and while drinking it, we found pieces of glass inside the milkshake. On top of that, the glass it was served in was chipped. This is not just a small mistake—this is a serious safety hazard that could have caused real injury.
When we brought it to the staff’s attention and asked for a manager, the response was extremely disappointing. The person who came to help appeared untrained and unsure of how to handle the situation, and there was no experienced manager available. The only thing offered was to comp the milkshake, which is completely inadequate given the severity of what happened.
Finding glass in a drink is unacceptable under any circumstances. The lack of urgency, concern, and proper handling made the situation even worse. It raises serious questions about the safety standards and management at this location.
This experience was not just disappointing—it was dangerous. I would strongly urge others to be cautious.
Everything else was a disaster. The food was badly overcooked—dry, tough, and basically flavorless. It seemed like the chef (David) could really use some more practice or better attention to the grill to avoid burning and drying out the items. I ordered the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes combo, and even though it comes with two pancakes, the portion still felt really skimpy and unsatisfying compared to what I’m used to at other locations. The milkshakes were rushed and completely flavorless—thin, watery, bland, and nowhere near the thick, creamy standard you’d expect; they tasted like melted disappointment.
To top it off, the men’s and women’s bathrooms were disgusting—filthy, unclean, and clearly not maintained. I even noticed the manager sign off on them without addressing the mess, which says a lot about the overall standards here.
The bill was around $150 for our group, and it felt like straight-up robbery. Skimpy portions, poor quality, order errors, overpricing, and unhygienic facilities don’t justify the cost. This location desperately needs better management, kitchen training/consistency (especially on cooking basics), and basic cleanliness. I won’t be returning—avoid this IHOP if you’re in Brighton.
UPDATE 1/30/26: no one still hasn’t got with me. I got one email saying “Hey will let you know what’s going on” and nothing ever happened for me. not even a contact from the owner this place. So again I have emphasize avoid this place
Hour is from3 pm to 8 pm with good values to choose from. A family sat next to us and m with Eva and manager Emerald pointing out Happy Hour
Meals identical to the one’s the family was going to order thus saving the family money! This was a classy move. IHOP should be proud of these three employees. I am DEFINITELY coming back and you should too!
