This was one of my best dining experiences in a long time. The restaurant itself is surprisingly modern and beautiful inside, which you might not expect from its exterior. Everyone from the host to the wait staff was warm and friendly and welcoming. I had a delicious martini accompanied by their warm olive assortment, followed by the arugula salad and then the lobster ravioli. I cleaned my plate at each course because it was so delicious! The tiramisu for dessert was also delicious. It was lively, chic and fun. I highly recommend this place.

An exceptional evening at Lucca Ristorante — a true gem in Boston’s dining scene. From the moment we arrived, the service, ambiance, and cuisine reflected the kind of polish and professionalism that defines a top-tier establishment.

Casey was outstanding — poised, attentive, and deeply knowledgeable. Their grace and command of the dining room elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to find service this seamless yet so personal; Casey embodies the standard of hospitality every great restaurant strives for.

The swordfish was nothing short of perfection — delicately seared, impeccably seasoned, and plated with balance and finesse. The bolognese was pure comfort at its highest level — rich, layered, and authentically Italian, showcasing both skill and restraint in execution.

Lucca captures what Boston does best: timeless elegance without pretension, refined flavors with a sense of place. A truly first-class experience from start to finish.

Lucca is one of those spots you’re glad exists when you land late and still want a real dinner instead of airport snacks. The boar pasta was excellent, easily the highlight, but the rest of the menu landed squarely in the “fine, not great” category.

The real win here is the late-night hours and the cozy bar scene. It’s a great place to unwind if you enjoy a solid, slightly above average Old Fashioned and good conversation after a travel day. Friendly staff, warm vibe, just don’t expect culinary fireworks.

Come for the pasta, stay for the bar.

What a phenomenal spot in the North End. The service was amazing, most of the food was exceptional, and it was an overall great experience (4 adults & a toddler).

Be sure to get the garlic mozzarella bread to share. It’s mostly mozzarella and it is addictive.

great experience. service was top notch, our app, pasta, and dessert were all excellent. in particular, the arancini ball special app was a fun twist on the typical, and the casarecce was incredible, with clearly fresh pasta.

glad we gave this a shot, this is a more modern take on Italian and its all fantastic

Had dinner here with my wife and family on a busy weekend night. The place had a lively atmosphere, great energy, and the service was fantastic from start to finish. The hospitality really stood out.

The food was exactly what you want from a great Italian restaurant. The calamari appetizer was unique and perfectly prepared, and the wild boar ragu was outstanding. Just order it. You’ll thank me later.

Thanks to Lucca for a fantastic night out. We’ll definitely be back.

The food was incredible and the waitress was very friendly. The downstairs with the stone walls was very nice.

We had the meatballs, gluten free rigatoni bolognes, lobster ravioli, chocolate torte, and tiramisu. All were so delicious.

They do have gluten-free options but the in person menu doesn’t indicate it. Their website does state gluten free and whole wheat pasta available.

Hello, today my girlfriend and I had dinner at your restaurant to celebrate her birthday. The atmosphere, staff, service, and drinks were excellent. However, I can’t say the same positive things about the food. We ordered Braised Chicken Fettuccine and Rigatoni Bolognese. The fettuccine was green due to the sauce and looked nice, but it lacked basil or garlic flavor, was under-salted, and had no black pepper. It tasted no different from homemade pasta. The Rigatoni Bolognese also lacked garlic, salt, and black pepper. Some of the meat in the ragù sauce was left in large chunks, and the rigatoni was slightly overcooked. The Caesar salad was quite good, but the croutons were not very good. I have been working as a chef for 19 years, and I am writing this message as a professional. I’m sure you have a really good restaurant and can do better.

Great pasta, great service and great location. This restaurant in the heart of north end is a cozy, calm Italian restaurant. I would recommend making reservations, once it hits 7pm the entire place is packed.
We got the lamb chops and lobster ravioli. Everything was fresh and the wine was delicious. If you’re looking for good pasta, fresh ingredients and cozy atmosphere I’d go here.

Absolutely love Lucca food and service. I went there to get the lobster ravioli with someone else and we were going to split. So the staff graciously had it plated in two different dishes. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing. A must for anyone coming to the north end.
