Nice authentic Indian high quality restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious with generous portions. The interior is gorgeous.
The waiter was friendly. The serving time took longer but not bad at all, good for a pleasant dinner. Card payment is accepted.

We’ve had dinner with a group of 9 here and there was space without reservation which was nice. The food was very tasty and had the perfect amount of spice. But unfortunately it was very hot inside when we were there. If the weather was a bit cooler, we would certainly recommend it!

Food was amazing and the service was excellent. They have very good naan — fresh, soft and delicious. The atmosphere is very nice and the place is clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back!

I always try to go to an South Asian restaurant in every city I sleep in. This is by far one of the best I’ve been to. The atmosphere is amazing. It’s in a beautifully renovated underground room (I think from before the city street level was raised, part of the fascinating history of Prague) a short walk from several tram stops. The service was top notch. Very polite, quick to get me seated (though admittedly it was not busy when I went), answered my questions about an item on the menu, and food was out in an appropriate amount of time. And the food itself was delicious! I had a lamb kebab and chicken biryani (same thing I order everywhere, makes for a great comparison). The kebab was delicious. A bit different style seekh kebab than I’m used to but it was amazing. The biryani was just right. Had a more subtle flavor rather which I appreciated. I find a lot of restaurants can over do it with biryani. Also felt like this biryani was properly made rather than cooking the chicken and rice completely separately and then mixing them before serving that I’ve found a lot of places do. Also, it was very reasonably priced.

Highly recommend. If I ever find myself back in Prague I’ll definitely come back here!

Extremely untasty and bad food. Ordered biryani and told to make a good one. He put too much salt in the biryani and 6 very very small pieces of mutton. It’s a waste of time going to this restaurant. This is nothing more than a scam, please avoid it

Very good Indian food. Very clean establishment. .
Wide selection of veggie and non veggie. Their lamb nihari was quite good, though it had more of a stew flavor. Tikka chicken was very tasty. Keema Kulcha was a treat.

Visited Lal Qila in Prague and had the prawn biryani served with raita. The biryani was aromatic, well-spiced, and the prawns were cooked nicely. Good overall experience.

Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had outside of India.

Lal Qila in Prague was an absolute standout. From the first bite, everything tasted incredibly authentic and thoughtfully made. The parathas were the real star — flaky, fresh, and exactly like the ones you’d have back home. Truly spot on.

Every dish we tried was delicious, well-spiced, and full of flavour — not toned down or “Europeanised” in any way. You can tell there’s real care and skill in the cooking.

If you’re craving proper, authentic Indian food in Prague, Lal Qila is a must. Loved everything and will 100% be back.
