I unfortunately forgot to take a picture of the food at the restaurant, but this massive bowl is a little more than half of my chile relleno that was left over. Huge portions and amazing food! Everything here was amazing, as was our server Cynthia (sp?). The ice tea was so strong and delicious! But the absolute best thing was their salsa verde! A little spice and the perfect flavor!
Would recommend eating here for sure
Their queso is phenomenal. Surprising amount of room inside. This is a great go to for any sized group and any type of function! Always fast in and out. Great vibe.
The chili con queso is a recurring issue. It is frequently served cold and often has a thin, soupy consistency. This has happened the last six times I’ve ordered it. Each time I’ve mentioned it to the staff, there has been little concern shown and no apology offered. Beyond the obvious food quality concern (and health code issues), the lack of engagement from management is disappointing, as you would reasonably expect a manager to address a repeated issue like this.
The salsa served with the chips tastes heavily of canned tomato products, with fresh herbs seemingly added to mask the metallic, “from-the-can” flavor. Service overall is hit or miss, and it’s noticeable that certain repeat customers receive more attentive service than others. At times, staff appear more focused on eating their own meals or watching television than on engaging with guests.
As for the entrées, they are mixed – generally acceptable, but not particularly memorable or distinctive. In the end, this feels like a place best suited for grabbing margaritas rather than for the food or the overall dining experience.
They were busy as it is the holidays, yet the staff was upbeat and quick and food was served in a flash. His Mi Casa Fajitas were a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. My Veracruz Enchiladas superb as was my House Margarita.
Fabulous place to get your “South of the Border” fix!
